Lake view, narrow winding access

Warning: the road is very narrow; we scraped our van. There is much more vegetation than in the photos, so the view is partly blocked.

Nice place, very calm, we were alone. There is a stone table and bench. 33 hairpins was crazy, I have to a little reverse in 7 of them with VW Multivan standard version.

Great spot with breathtaking views! Of the 33 hairpin bends, we managed only eight without manoeuvring in our 6-metre panel van. Access is more advisable during the day because of visibility. When we arrived on a Saturday evening, two vehicles with rooftop tents were already there. We had to drive back to the last bend, turn around, reverse back up and then position ourselves.

Very beautiful view! Beware: recommended only for small buses. The 33 bends are very tight and unsuitable for panel vans or motorhomes.

The spot is very good. On 8 November, however, we found three vehicles there, so it was full, although we had hoped to be alone at that time of year.

Fantastic place, very quiet. We spent two nights and encountered only three cyclists and two walkers in the morning. No other campers; it is also true that we were there on 16 October! The climb was no problem for us in our 4.4-metre Berlingo 2. Beware of vans or motorhomes with longer wheelbases—several manoeuvres and reversing will be necessary. Michel.

On the way up, 20 manoeuvres on the 33 bends (often just reversing one metre) and 10 on the way down (with a bike rack and bicycles). But it is worth the trip, and the view is magnificent, especially at nightfall. Bins are available; collection is Wednesday morning at 7 a.m.

Vehicle: Sprinter, approximately 6 metres. The climb is worthwhile, even though you have to briefly reverse on many bends. The view is excellent and the place is quiet at night. Be careful not to block the barrier. A local resident woke us at 7:30 a.m. because he wanted to get through with his small Piaggio.

When we arrived, two vans were already parked. Luckily, we shared drinks and a game of pétanque. We had a view of the lake, watched the 15 August fireworks and woke up with the sun shining on the lake. The night was very pleasant. Be aware of the access road: around thirty very tight bends, but they are worth climbing.

Magnificent view of the lake, quiet and mosquito-free! As mentioned in the other comments, the road is very winding and difficult to access. Do not be afraid of manoeuvring with a van or car; motorhomes take the risk at their own peril.

The view is beautiful, but the climb with a motorhome will be very difficult. Even with my VW Touran, I had too little room on the bends. There is a table, benches and rubbish bins. Space for four or five vehicles.

Incredible view. We arrived at 4:50 p.m. and there was already one van. There was room for a third, but without the view. The spot is great, but if you plan to arrive after 6 p.m. in season, you will have to negotiate the 33 bends in the opposite direction! We have a Renault Trafic, and half the bends required a manoeuvre.

What a view—and lovely evening coolness. Beware of the very tight bends. Impossible for motorhomes. A 5.15-metre van can make it, though occasional small manoeuvres are needed. A large picnic table and bins are available. Starting point for hikes. Lots of mosquitoes.

We climbed the 33 bends in our van, which is over 7 metres long. I was very frightened, but I do not regret it. Magical viewpoint over Lake Maggiore.

Thirty challenging hairpin bends to get there. If your vehicle is longer than 5.40 metres, expect to need more than one manoeuvre on them. The place is worth it. Park considerately, leaving room for others. The spot holds two or three motorhomes. We found a very inconsiderate person parked across the area and occupying all three spaces. He even emptied his grey-water tank during the night.

The climb is not easy, but the result is incredible. The view over the lake is magnificent, especially at the end of the day when the towns light up. A table and bin are available; a perfect place.

The place is fantastic, with a beautiful view and, above all, extremely quiet at night. We have a 5.7-metre van, and at least 27 of the 33 hairpin bends required two manoeuvres on the way up! We reached the site at 7 p.m. and luckily found the last free space. There are six spaces in total: four with a lake view and two farther back along the road.

Wonderful car park with a view of Lake Maggiore. Seating is available for cooking and eating. You should arrive early to secure a good spot. Two other campers were there with us; a third had to leave because there was no room.

Finest sun panorama high above Verbania. Anyone who is not deterred by 33 tight hairpin bends can get up there in a 6-metre bus, with some reversing.
