Been here?
This hilltop leisure area beside a chapel offers valley views, picnic tables, a covered barbecue and a small water point. Nights are calm, with public lighting reported from 21h to 5h, and the parking spots are uneven. Recent fires affected the surrounding landscape, although views and walking remain attractive; vehicles up to 12m can access the site.

Great view and a peaceful night near the chapel. Public lighting from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Woke up to sunshine and a superb view for having breakfast outside. Small fresh-water point and barbecue available. Great night.
Nice place with a beautiful view. Lovely walk around the area. It is a shame there were fires, but the landscape remains magnificent, with a slightly apocalyptic feel.
A very nice and quiet place to sleep!!
What a joy! Despite the traces of the recent fire, this place is a true paradise. We parked below the swing and spent a quiet night alone. A real gem! Access is fine for 12-meter heavy vehicles.
Very beautiful place to spend the night, with sunset and an unbeatable view over the valley, a chapel, a fountain and a swing adding to its charm. Unfortunately, the surrounding area was burned by the recent summer fires. Be sure to check the official Portuguese fire website before staying here.
Unfortunately, the region burned last week. There are still a few trees to shelter from the sun. We asked the firefighters who were there whether we could spend the night. The place is quiet and relaxing. A little breeze is welcome in these summer temperatures! Two water points are available.
Perfect! Quiet, tables, sheltered barbecues, swings, beautiful views, and a paradise for dogs traveling with us. What more could you ask for?
I rested here and went to the swing to admire the panoramic view!
Excellent spot, near the chapel or on the other side of the road with a very beautiful view. Very quiet.
We spent two days here: perfect, very quiet and beautiful. The tap works, although the toilets are indeed closed. Small supermarket in the town below.
Great spot. The toilets are apparently not always open; they were closed for me. Two taps with good pressure right next to the church. It is advisable to walk the route to the planned parking spot beforehand. There were a few shards of glass around.
Super cool place, really clean for a change, lots of space for vans, water available from the barbecue area near the church, a really pretty view and a quiet road. There is even a swing for sunset photos.
A wonderful place to spend one or more nights immersed in spectacular scenery. Next to the small church there is a fountain, a bin and trash baskets. The village festival is held from the 13th to the 17th; I would avoid those days.
Very nice location on the heights, away from the town, with views of nature and the chapel. Lovely road to get there. We recommend it!
Incredible spot with an amazing view, perfect for sunset and sunrise. Plenty of spaces for vans and motorhomes, many picnic areas, children’s playgrounds, a sink, barbecue and toilets. A little exposed to the wind, but worth it. This place is exceptional!
Beautiful farm campsite, secluded yet conveniently close to Castiglioncello town on foot or by bike. Two swimming pools and a restaurant worth trying, with a set-price menu based on local products. The only drawback is the nearby tennis/padel court, which is noisy in the evening until closing, with laughter, music and shouting. You can still sleep, but it conflicts with the spirit of the place.
