2 Route de Mazayes, 63230, Saint-Ours
Been here?
This clean, gravelled motorhome area is directly beside Vulcania, with electricity and practical services, and Vulcania is accessible on foot. Pitches are spacious but may be slightly sloping, so levelling wedges are useful; there is little or no shade. The area is generally calm and also suits visits to the Lemptégy volcano, with walking and cycling nearby. Recent comments report a total cost of 51€32 including the night, tax, card and reservation.

Very mixed experience... The air is indeed really excellent, with electricity available, a major positive. However, there is no transparency about the prices... Is that legal? No information sign at the entrance. I had a card for this franchise with €5 balance. I added €10 (the minimum possible). The parking cost €16... magically, I had to add another €10 to my card...
In fact, night + tax + card + mandatory reservation... €51.32... You can park for free in the Vulcania parking area to visit the site, and at night go to the beautiful free, shaded parking area at nearby Lemptegy volcano.
Quiet area. Easy to get to Vulcania and visit the Lemptegy volcano, which itself has its own free motorhome parking. It is a shame that the area is confused with a campsite for children, because they need to let off steam! Others need peace and quiet because we work all year to finally relax and rest, not worry about a child or ball landing on the vehicle.
Very good motorhome area with all services, clean. Bring leveling blocks. Vulcania is accessible on foot from the motorhome area. The only downside is the price.
Avoid. Poorly signposted, no services, no shade, and they charge €5 access fee to the parking area?? In addition to the €15.70 overnight fee plus tourist tax, total €22.50. Keep going, the price is prohibitive.
Very well-located area, near Vulcania and the Lemptégy site, very quiet.
Area very well located for visiting Vulcania. Very clean with all services, easy to access. Quiet. The plus: Wi-Fi easily accessible for free.
Ideal pitches for visiting Vulcania and Lemptégy Volcano. The pitches are slightly sloped but spacious. Quiet night. Convenient services.
It is simply a gravel parking area with no view and no shade. Obviously, all nearby alternatives are prohibited overnight. Excessive price of €15.32, necessarily including electricity, which I do not need.
Ideal location for going to Vulcania Park and taking beautiful bike rides and walks. In the center of St Ours there is a bakery offering high-quality bread with a top-notch welcome.
Very nice area next to Vulcania; the only bad point is that the ground is sloped.
Excellent location at the entrance to Vulcania Park! The spaces are large and very level. Toilets would be a plus.
Nice area with all services. Well-defined, level pitches with grass and gravel. Very close to Vulcania and Lemptegy Volcano. Very quiet. We recommend it.
There is a new system since April 2026, the price is 14€/24h plus tax, but you have to sign up for the Camping-Car-Park app/cards and add money to the account in order to enter the barrier. Just add 10€ and get inside, once you have activated the app you can work out how much you need to top up in order to pay your entire stay when you leave afterwards. Electricity is now included.
I slept here for one night; quiet even with the road next to it.
Beautiful motorhome area; we spent 3 nights here, with a view of Puy de Dôme, near beautiful walks, Vulcania and Lemptegy Volcano. Beautiful place, we will return. Everyone has their own electricity and the new facilities are very good! Bring leveling blocks, as it is somewhat sloped.
Convenient location, perfect for going to Vulcania Park. The only downside is that the pitch is not level.
Motorhome area that does the job for being close to Vulcania Park. Afterwards, access the free daytime parking area, which is close to the entrance.
Parking very close for visiting the park, otherwise little interest. No level ground, difficult slope. Electricity limited to 6 hours, excessive price for the services. Time slots force you to stay two nights. Who benefits from this scam?
Large parking area with large spaces. To enter, drive up to the barrier, which will issue a ticket to use for payment when leaving. Perfect for going directly to Vulcania theme park from 9:45 a.m. Water and electricity available with tokens purchased on site, bins provided. Only toilets are missing. Feels safe.
Very quiet at night, with a service station available for an additional fee. Possibility of using the daytime parking area (specific motorhome spaces).
Quiet area and two steps from the entrance to Vulcania. However, no tokens were available on the morning of August 29, so it was impossible to fill up with water or rinse the chemical toilet cassette…
Stayed 2 nights for €18. Complicated payment system, everything only in French. Tip: first click on the function you want, then scan the ticket. Only a few electricity spaces. The gate remains open for more than an hour after the park closes; campers were still arriving at 11:45 p.m. Toilets by the gate to the park, which is closed after closing time. The park itself is useless if you do not speak French, disappointing.
Quiet area; water and electricity must be paid for with tokens, found at the far end of the parking area to the left of the bins. For electricity, be careful not to insert several tokens: one token gives 6 hours. Then insert another and press the black button. Water: one token gives 100 liters. If you inserted several tokens, you can file a complaint at the counter at the entrance to Vulcania Park.
Paid but quiet and two steps from the park. Ideal when you want to visit Vulcania.
Quiet place. However, access to electricity is limited by the number of available stations and sockets. The paid service station was defective, so we could not fill up with water.
Excessive price. In reality, to pay €10 you must arrive after 5 p.m. and leave the next day before noon. This gives barely 2 hours to visit, since they open at 10 a.m. So €18 is mandatory, with an extra charge for water and electricity.
Nothing to complain about. Despite the parking area being full, the night was very quiet. However, arrive early, at the latest by late afternoon. The parking area fills up very quickly.
Not recommended for the price and for visiting Lemptegy, which requires walking 10–15 minutes along a road without a sidewalk. It is possible to spend the night for free in the Lemptegy parking area, interesting for the evening event. Area price €10/day but Auvergne-style hours (5 p.m. to noon). Electricity tokens cost €2 for 6 hours, with a maximum of two consecutively; calculate carefully so you do not have to get up in the middle of the night.
Quiet pitch right next to Vulcania, self-service with a barrier and payment machine when leaving. In fact, it is €10 for one night and €18 for two nights.
Excellent area for visiting Vulcania Park and Lempégy Volcano. A little sloped, but quiet at night. Few pitches with electricity, payable; water payable (€2/100 liters). Price: €10 for the first night, €8 for the second night, €6 thereafter.
