Tree-screened lay-by, traffic overnight

A well-surfaced, flat lay-by set back behind trees from the A6 at Adlington, with lots of spaces on each side. It has no services, but waste bins are nearby. Traffic is usually less noticeable after 11pm and starts again around 7am, so light sleepers may be affected.

Good for an overnight stop. Road traffic wasn’t too bad gone 11pm, but started again around 7am. We slept fine, but might be an issue for light sleepers.
Great over night spot, near to main road but behind trees. Well surfaced (flat) road and lots of spaces on each side. No services but waste bins nearby.
Great, quiet safe place to pull off for the night. Pulled up around midnight and left after breakfast. No problem!
Used this spot, during the day as I work nights. very busy road next to it, but you're far enough from the road that it doesn't rock your van, plenty of space. Would suggest as a good stop on a journey rather than a destination stopover .
