N2, 5050-280, Peso da Régua
Been here?
Free, paved parking beside the Douro River offers scenic views, relatively level spaces and an easy walk into town. It is generally quiet overnight but can be busy, with occasional noisy cars; a Wednesday farmers’ market starts setting up around 6.00. Grey and black water disposal and drinking water are beside the paid parking area, with water and emptying available by €2 token, while electricity costs €3.

Parking next to the Douro River. Quite touristy, peaceful at night, although there is always some car making a nuisance.
Spent a somewhat noisy but secure night. Lots of motorhomes and a beautiful walk in the surrounding area.
Surprisingly busy so you might need to circle around to find a spot. Very quiet overnight though and a nice walk into town through the park
Beautiful parking option beside the river if you do not need electricity. These spaces are much flatter than the official camper pitches higher up. You can still use the waste-disposal point. Quiet! However, on Wednesday morning there is a farmers’ market, whose setup starts around 6 a.m., and you may be boxed in.
Top place, great view of the river. Quiet and peaceful. Excellent for motorhomes of all sizes!
15/04/2026 - stayed at the bottom along the river in the free parking area. Slept peacefully. Did not use any of the services. Easy walk into town and along the river. Would have loved to do a train day trip through Douro Valley but was not possible due to time. Thank you for this space! Much appreciated!
We spent two weekend nights. The spaces are somewhat sloped. It would be quite peaceful if it were not for the cars that came drifting past a couple of times each night. It was only for a moment. Otherwise, fine.
Very good place for an overnight stay. The views are wonderful, and many motorhomes stay here. Electricity is also available for €3.
Ideal for exploring the town. Dog friendly. Toilets near by are a bit grim but do the job. Nice to be surrounded by other vans and still quiet at night
We had a really nice time in this spot and ended up staying two nights instead of one. Right on the river, easy walk into town. It felt safe as there are a few campers about. You can get a token for €2 to fill your water and empty which we did before we left. There are toilets a short walk along the front.
We spent a quiet night here under the bridge; there is very little road noise. Many nice bars and restaurants in town where you can eat well. Very safe place, as many motorhomes park here and it is brightly lit.
Excellent spacious place. From here you can take the train to Pinhão for €6.20 return.
Parking on the bank of the Douro beneath the bridges crossing it. Level platform for parallel parking. Quiet place to spend the night, with the service area of the paid motorhome area right next door. Shared with cars, and the pedestrian path to the docks is alongside it.
Let us learn from this magnificent village, which is located in an extraordinary setting and also knows how to manage its resources. All facilities for motorhomes, electricity and water, are available for a tiny fee, and if you do not want to pay anything, you also have your own space. THANK YOU, REGUA, AND CONGRATULATIONS.
A pleasant place to spend the night. There are more motorhomes and vans, it is well levelled, and the swimming pool, which costs €6 for the whole day, is nearby. At night it is an area for walkers.
Just passing through for a break. Meh—under the bridge there are lots of biting flies and toilet paper.
