Been here?
First Camp Arcus – Luleå is a large, year-round campsite by the Lule River with spacious pitches and access to nature, cycling, fishing and summer swimming. Service houses, kitchens, laundry, waste facilities and motorhome disposal are available, but recent comments describe the site and some facilities as old, worn and poorly cleaned. For an area of about 100 pitches, there were 4 men’s toilets, 4 women’s toilets and 6 showers, and pool access costs extra. Noise can come from nearby discos, passing cars and military jets.

Campsite with all services. Good welcome. Children are allowed to play ball and ride bicycles or scooters among the caravans and motorhomes, and they are also allowed to leave their bicycles, scooters and other toys on your pitch while their parents do not have to worry. Facilities, showers and common areas are clean.
Large campsite, old and run-down, with poor cleanliness at times.
For €90 per night I expect a beautiful campsite with many amenities. For the area where we stayed (about 100 pitches), there were four men’s and four women’s toilets and six showers in appalling condition. The swimming pool even required an extra fee. Cars constantly drive past your pitch at far too high a speed... never again for us.
Okay, if you like large campsites without any character.
Large pitches. For a site called First Camp, I expect newer showers; these leave much to be desired. There is no hook or bench in the shower cubicle, so everything has to be left outside the cubicle. The worst thing, however, is the bass from a nearby disco. Reception and the shop closed at 5 p.m.; after that, you cannot get anything, not even ice cream. Not recommended.
Everything is very professional. All amenities are available. In high season it is surely not as quiet as it is now. There are many opportunities to explore the surroundings by bicycle. Unfortunately, there are also many takeoffs and landings by military jets nearby.
Everything is fine. Pitches overlooking the lake. Several service buildings. Friendly people. Restaurant on site but rather expensive. Luleå is cheaper. You can easily visit Luleå and the church town by e-bike. Pitch with electricity about €30.
Pitches located by a lake. Showers, toilets and kitchen clean and good. We booked online and an envelope with our cards had been left for us.
A beautiful campsite, but unfortunately almost deserted in the low season in terms of services. We needed customer service in the evening and could reach nobody at reception or by phone, and looking for breakfast was fruitless—the shop was nearly empty. At least the restaurant was open in the evening and the food was very good. Water and waste facilities, showers, etc. were fine.
Very friendly reception staff (staff who speak Spanish, French and English). They offer to book activities with them. We travelled by motorhome at the beginning of March (€30 without electricity), and it is a beautiful place. They have bathrooms with showers, a fully equipped kitchen, laundry, chemical toilet disposal, etc. Fully recommended.
Well operated in winter. The service building could be significantly better: everything is really cramped (I had to ask the person next to me at the sink to make himself “slim” so I could squeeze between him and the shower cubicle), no hooks for clothes or towels at the sink, no bench or anything near the showers... There is clearly room for improvement for a “First” Camp.
We were here in January. Super nice team, very helpful. The open sanitary building was clean and well maintained. We would come again.
The best First Camp for us so far. From check-in to check-out, simply a wonderful stay. With a bit of luck, you may also be surprised by the Northern Lights here. We would gladly return.
Large campsite. Many long-term campers with caravans. Everything is available in the service area. Showers and toilets clean and warm. Kitchen available. Laundry also possible. Gladly return.
We stayed here for 4 nights and used the 3 for 2 offer and then the seniors 20% discount for the 4th. Nice campsite and ideal point for visiting any of the nordics.
Great stop for two nights. Quick laundry stop for us. We had bikes on board so was able to get out and about but nothing available from site as everything shut down for winter.. beautiful site very peaceful and got to see northern lights
Great campsite and all facilities are good. It would only be nice if the website and the park itself communicated better about all the extra activities. In mid-September, nothing was possible anymore. We couldn't even rent bicycles. Such a shame, because we had specifically chosen this campsite because of the many possibilities and because we were expecting visitors from the Netherlands. Therefore, one star deducted. Otherwise, a pleasant location!
A welcome break on a cold, wet Saturday afternoon. Grey water and toilet disposal available with fresh water as well. Site was empty, not much in the shop but a good stop 350kr for motorhome plus power for 2.
Very nice site; we only arrived at 8 p.m. Check-in is only possible online. Anyone without a stable connection need not try, as it kept disconnecting. We managed to check in after 10 attempts. If it hadn't been so late, we would have driven on. Very complicated. However, when it works, it is a good thing.
Maximum 3.5! You can tell the season is coming to an end. I have already experienced better First Camp sites. I would definitely think carefully before visiting again. Arcus-Luleå did not convince me.
Very, very dirty. Service House 1 is really filthy. Such a shame; the site itself is beautiful, but it is not maintained or clean.
Huge campsite with several service buildings that were very clean. You could take nice walks with the dog, and despite its size the site was very quiet.
I dont know why the last 3 reviews is so aweful about this site. I guess they had an unjust expectation that was not met? It is just fantastic here. So many activities both for children and adults great toilets, shower washing rooms. Great bech and pool! Highly recommended to stay here. We booked an extra night. We stayed at section D
After the telephone hotline kept us waiting for 30 minutes and quoted us a price for a reservation, we looked for another site that cost a third as much and was beautiful!
Not a nice experience. Expensive and overpriced. Bathrooms and showers filthy and ill kept. Dumpsters not emptied so lots of trash laying around on the ground. Rats running around at night.
