Been here?
Lakeside parking area at Brienz with picnic tables and BBQ spots right by the water, popular for a lunch stop or afternoon swim. It's a paid car park (coins, card or app), roughly 1 CHF per 60-90 minutes, with height-barrier restricted vehicle access and no toilets. Overnight camper stays are banned and enforced with fines around 40 CHF; parking works can occasionally block access. Great lake and mountain views, generally quiet.

Parking area with picnic tables and barbecues by the lake, perfect for stopping to eat as the views are beautiful. It cost us CHF 1.20 for one hour.
It's very nice, right in front of the lake. It's quiet. We stopped there for lunch and then spent the afternoon swimming in the lake. It is a paid parking area (cash, app or card).
Note: Apple Maps is wrong use Google maps for directions. Huge flat parking right on the lake. We went swimming with our dog.
Currently closed due to the Brienz Woodcutters' Days.
Beautiful view and almost directly by the lake. We got a parking ticket despite having a parking ticket.
Nice spot, but barriers have been installed to prevent access to the lakeside, with vehicle restrictions under 1.90 m. €40 fine.
Easy to find and park by the lake. We then walked into Brienz from there. BBQ facilities by the water. Great views. No services. There is an expensive campsite around the corner, where you can nip in and use the facilities for free.
