Unnamed Road, GL54 3DL, Cheltenham
Been here?
This spacious lay-by on a quiet rural road is no longer suitable for overnight stays, as a sign states no overnight parking. It has no facilities. During the day, it provides access to nearby woodland, fields and walking routes, but the ground can become muddy and waterlogged after rain.

There is now a small sign saying "no overnight parking," and very friendly people nearby who come to point it out when you have not seen it at the entrance.Translating
Great park up, really quite road stayed from noon till following morning and no more than 20 cars passed. No facilities just a great place to park up and enjoy the peace and quiet. Wood near with path, lots of bluebells. Rabbits, deer & pheasants in the fields and birdsong throughout the day and evening. Certainly more space for vehicles than 2 in the description
amazing off grid stop, way more space than just two, beautiful surroundings amazing woodland! so peaceful and tranquil we came for a night without the children but our children would have had their best time here. it's a must Visit.
Very quiet - hardly any traffic. Amazing views. Can get very muddy after some rain. Locals use it during the day to park for their walks - quiet later in the day.
Most excellent spot! Really quiet and rural
was a bit waterlogged but so was everywhere else due to storms. Lovely and quiet, decent phone signal and no cars after about 8pm.
We were the only van here, had maybe 3 cars pass all night. Slight slope and some pot holes but these were easily avoided. Would stay here again, very peaceful night. Decent signal on GifGaff (O2)
It was very calm and quiet during the night, plenty of space for multiple cars and campers. I had amazing signal the whole time, although my partner didn’t so if you’re lucky you’ll be fine. Be mindful if you are staying when its raining and it can get very muddy, and quite large puddles form. Overall would definitely recommend.
Very good, narrow access road. Dog walkers pass in the morning and evening; do not block the whole area.Translating
A really beautiful and quiet overnight spot in nature. A small road runs past it, but there is hardly any traffic. Also perfect for an outdoor shower.Translating
Lovely spot out of the way. we hoped we would be alone but 3 other vans turned up later in the evening. Ground very hard and stoney so difficult to peg anything down, other than that this spot is great for visiting The Cotswolds with serveral beautiful villages within a few miles.
a very good quiet spot for one ,two nights. very quiet. lots of walks in fields and woods. pretty local villages Sherborne and Clapton on Hill no pubs in either. local shop in Sherborne. look after the spot, don't abuse it or we will lose it
Natural overnight spot. Three other campers were there with us. Nice and quiet. Please leave this beautiful place clean and tidy.Translating
Great park up for our 7.4m camper. Plenty of space. Another camper stayed the night. A couple of cars at any one time going for walks. Quiet at night. Good signal.
Amazing park up. Very off quiet and peaceful. Please keep it clean.
A great spot! Super quiet and gorgeous view over the fields , lovely walk as well! Was joined by two other campers for the night and was very peaceful
We did not sleep in this parking area but in the one just before it. Extremely quiet. Little traffic.Translating
very impressed with this one! large bit of land, relatively flat, quiet night, great little find! though we did see some rubbish thrown into the bushes, we couldn’t get to it as it was surrounded by nettles! please make sure you’re taking your rubbish with you! there are plenty of bins in the villages
