A very large daytime parking lot provides access to various hiking routes, including Kristínartindar. Parking is limited to a day ticket, payable at a meter or via app. There is no night ticket; overnight stays require the adjacent campsite.

You can now only buy a daytime parking ticket here. There is no overnight ticket. You have to go to the campsite next door. There was nobody there at 8 p.m., so we drove on.
