Tatranská Lomnica, 059 60, Vysoké Tatry
Been here?
A basic, quiet campsite consisting largely of a spacious grassy field with excellent views of the High Tatras. The pitches are level with free choice, but the sanitary facilities are very old and have recently been described as unusable in winter. Showers and toilets have also been reported dirty, broken or lacking hot water, while card payment is unavailable. Road noise can affect the front area, and loud music may come from the hotel or cabins.

Basic motorhome site, essentially a large grass field. Fine if you use everything in your camper yourself (shower/toilet), because the sanitary facilities are quite outdated. We found it rather soulless and drove on after one night. You do have a beautiful view of the Tatras.Translating
Slovakia is surprising. We arrived at the second campsite in this area that is listed as open all year round. The barrier is open, and that is all; you can park like in a car park, but emptying grey water and filling fresh water is impossible, and the toilets and showers are locked, with darkness all around. We went looking for another campsite. Not recommended.Translating
The site can be booked all year round; in winter you stay by the cabins, where the showers and toilets are also located. Everything is somewhat dated, but it has charm. Very friendly staff. Cash payment only.Translating
The pitch itself is okay, but I would not let my dog shower in these facilities. The toilets are also in a deplorable condition, as is practically the entire sanitary block. Charging money for this is really a step too far. This campsite would be closed by order of the municipality in Belgium. NEVER AGAIN.Translating
Here, time obviously stood still a long time ago. Great view, very level pitches with free choice of space. Otherwise, everything from the sanitary facilities and reception to the Wi-Fi is inadequate.Translating
Permanent campsite, but the sanitary facilities are in a deplorable state. Half of the showers are broken or have no hot water, and they are dirty. The toilets smell of urine. In short, expensive for the level of service. €26 for two adults and one child without electricity.Translating
Beautiful place with views of the High Tatras. We arrived in the evening and parked easily. We used the electrical hookup, toilet dump and fresh-water refill. A great place for a trip to Lomnický štít — 6 km to the cable-car parking lot, €10. Card payment is not possible, which the owners should change!!!Translating
The campsite is okay if you need nothing more than a pitch. Large meadow with plenty of space. Unfortunately, it is completely infested with ants, crawling and flying (August). There is often loud music for long periods near the hotel/cabin area. In the front area you can hear the road. Toilets and showers are at the very end of the meadow.Translating
Ok place for one night. showers and toilets are old. No card paymentTranslating
We slept there for one night. Very quiet. Excellent welcome. Inexpensive. The sanitary facilities are indeed ageing but clean. Unlimited hot showers. Not crowded. We really recommend it.Translating
I have already stayed here twice; the place is beautiful, with views of the mountains, and the price is reasonable. The showers and toilets might need cosmetic refurbishment, but it did not bother us.Translating
We were looking for fresh water and wanted to dispose of our black and grey water. It was possible without any problems for €7. At reception we were told that €7 was the listed price for filling and emptying. The sanitary area made a sad impression, but all the people were very nice.Translating
Excellent surroundings, a huge area for camping, with beautiful, well-maintained grass everywhere. The toilets, showers and kitchen are a major drawback. What a shame. It needs renovation. Reasonable prices.Translating
Yes, same situation in June 2025: the toilets and showers were closed, but the electricity worked. It seems somewhat abandoned.Translating
Apart from the rather beautiful view, this campsite is very, very old-school. As the campsite was closed, we stayed by a cabin where there were sanitary facilities, electricity and a place to wash dirty dishes. Everything was very old and poorly maintained. €26 without electricity for one night in a camper with a child.Translating
30€ for 2 adults in a van for a night with electricity. 5€pp, 5€ for the van, 3.5€pp tourist tax and 8€ for electricity. The toilet block wasn’t open, so all campers shared a cabin which only had one toilet and shower, definitely not enough facility’s and quite outdated. There was wifi. We moved on, couldn’t justify the high price for what was provided. Translating
I give 5* for the attitude - this was the only place around T.Lomnica that allowed us just to refill water and dump grey waters, just for 7 eur. All other (fancy) campsites would talk to us only if we stay and use all facilities & pay dozens of euros. Here the staff was very friendly and helpful, also with advices. The facilities were outdated, but nice atmosphere surely would compensate thatTranslating
Interesting pricing. An additional €7 for disposing of grey water and the chemical toilet, on top of the usual pitch fees for the Tatra region. The sanitary area is in poor condition and urgently needs renovation. A shame; until now, we had only had good experiences with Slovak campsites.Translating
Beautiful place, close to the Tatra. Fantastic view. The facilities are somewhat outdated, but everything you need is there, including lovely running hot water — very welcome after wild camping for a while! Fine price: €30 for a campervan, 2 adults and 2 children.Translating
