Positive: Check-in via an automated machine is possible until 10 p.m. Very clean sanitary facilities. There are three differently priced areas at the campsite. At the campsite itself, it costs €60 per night (July). The other areas are cheaper, but were already occupied. Overall OK, but I have never paid so much for a pitch.

We were in the motorhome area by the Elbe. Beautiful, and the fact that there are only toilets and no showers did not bother us. The campsite seems lovingly and thematically well designed. However, the showers in the main sanitary block were awful. Unfortunately, they were dirty and neglected, with some mold, dozens of old unsealed drill holes, broken tiles, and cloudy mirrors. Money needs to be invested here.

Great place with every comfort, but also €50 per night. We were on the Elbe side in front of the dyke and enjoyed the beach and swimming.

We slept wonderfully and peacefully here. The sanitary containers are very clean. The site is recommended for dogs. At reception, we explicitly said that we wanted to book the motorhome pitch and paid €26.50 for the motorhome, two adults, and one dog.

They wanted €183 from us for three nights, motorhome with two people.

Superb campsite directly on the Elbe. Nice service. Good restaurant. €25 including water and dumping facilities—a good price. Shower €1 for 4 minutes. Electricity €0.83 per kWh. Showers and toilets were clean and well maintained. We will return.

People should look carefully at which pitch they book to avoid confusion. We paid €50 excluding shower and electricity, but we were close to the little beach in the motorhome area. The first row by the water is popular and therefore more expensive, and the fixed campsite across the dyke is also more expensive. So it often comes down to the chronic complainers themselves in the reviews. It is simply good here for the right price—nothing more and nothing less.

We have never been offered a place like this before. It should have been called a sloping, deep sand pit. Driving onto this pitch would have been impossible. The alternative pitch offered when we asked was occupied. Pitches are very small and uneven. Showers require tokens (4 minutes/€1). There are only two toilets for men on the Elbe side. Overall far too expensive.

Wonderful pitch directly on the Elbe, or an alternative campsite behind the dyke. Toilets are in containers in front of the dyke or 200–300 m away at the campsite. Showers are also at the campsite. The only deduction is that the washing-up area by the containers is not covered, and the water was not warm every time. A shuttle bus to the train station is offered from the campsite.

The television report created different expectations. The pitches were made 2 m smaller with new markings. When two motorhomes stand next to each other, the windows almost touch. This is called profit optimization. We had previously spent three weeks in Denmark at motorhome sites, but none was this cramped. Once and never again; we did not like it.

The €25 is somewhat confusing; we paid €49 for the night. A bit expensive, but directly on the Elbe and all-inclusive, it is OK.

I can only agree with Zaddi. If you do not absolutely need to be in the front row, you pay €25 per night (excluding electricity). We had a fantastic view of the Elbe from pitch 15. The washing containers are OK. Those who want to shower can do so in the main washroom across the street. The motorhome area is beautifully laid out, with enough electricity and water points. We will return!

I do not understand the recent reviews. We pay €78 for a weekend with two nights, including two adults, two children, and a dog! Electricity is included. Friendly and helpful staff—even when we had a car breakdown, which unfortunately happened to us once.

Beware of rip-off pricing! Even one star is too many. We paid €91 for one night in a van for two people with electricity, without an Elbe view and without an ASCI card! They accuse us of having stayed three nights, although I can prove the bill from another pitch. The staff is passive and does not respond to my emails. There is no apology. Stay away!

The pitch now costs €60! Unbelievable!!!

We spontaneously drove to this place. €60 for one night!!!! Seriously??? Yes, it would have been first-row Elbe, but still: showers in a container, and the washing-up area was more improvised than anything else. Dear campers, we have it in our own hands! If we do not support such absurd prices, there is still hope for “reasonable” prices ;-)

Overall, rather disappointed with the place. The photos on the website gave a better impression. The only thing that was really beautiful was the area with the rental caravans. It was not a catastrophe, but we would not come here again.

Beautiful location on the Elbe. Not ideal for visiting Hamburg. Sanitary facilities by the dyke are very limited; the main building is good. Overcrowded and expensive on weekends (except in the low season). Sanitary infrastructure is too small for the size of the site, justified as “nature camping.”

As guests since 2019, we are disappointed: The first-row motorhome pitches have a prime location, but you wash dishes without shelter from the rain and with cold water. There are frequent power outages, dusty and muddy pitches, and showers cost extra; at €60 per night for two people, it is too much. The “Unsinkbar” is also gone. Great location directly on the Elbe. Everything you need is there. Washing up was fine (outside and with lukewarm water); showers are at the main site, three minutes by bicycle. The pitches are OK, not huge, perhaps a little too small. 3.5 stars.
