Been here?
Camping Municipal de Serpa is a small, inexpensive campsite in or near the town centre, within walking distance of Serpa. It is generally quiet, with friendly staff and a useful kitchen area with sinks. Facilities are older, and recent feedback reports dirty sanitary areas, tight showers, and cramped caravan pitches. Recent prices include 7€ for one person and 12.50 euros per night for a van with EHU and 2 adults.

Bathrooms without paper, very dirty and poorly maintained. Showers quite cramped. Camping spaces for caravans and car tents are very cramped; it looks like a car park. It has a good kitchen complex with sinks.
Small, older site that is clean and functional. We had nothing to complain about, and the town is definitely worth a visit. Attention: the coordinates are incorrect, and the entrance is closed. The current entrance is opposite the swimming pool.
A pleasant city campsite on the outskirts of Serpa, in a good location within walking distance of the town. Friendly staff. Clean sanitary facilities.
Very good for a municipal campsite. Plenty of hot water, which is often lacking at other municipal campsites. Sanitary facilities are dated but clean. Friendly staff.
Very pleasant municipal campsite, very clean and practical sanitary facilities. Friendly staff, right in the town centre.
Perfect! Super clean, well maintained municiple site in the heart of a wonderful city. Great MTB routes and bike centre facilities on site.
A small campsite in the middle of town the value for money is really good you can explore the lively town quite well the staff are friendly; I stayed there for two days and travel with a rooftop tent what really bothered me, however, were the pigeons in the morning—what felt like 1,000 of them. Quiet hours are over at 6 a.m.
Very pleasant, peaceful place, all services available, super-friendly staff, sanitary facilities old but clean and functional. We ended up staying two nights to enjoy the village more and visit the clock museum, which during the week only opens at 2 p.m.; do not miss it.
Lovely campsite. Friendly helpful staff, nice and quiet even on the edge of town. surrounded by bird song, shower block is dated but functional with hot water. van with EHU and 2 adults €12.50 pn. Only Extras - Washing machine which takes 20kg! & a dryer €3.60 each. Easy walk into town, or cycle. 3 supermarkets close to the campsite. This is a really lovely site.
We arrived at night and Google took us to the municipal swimming pool car park. We saw a fence and a closed gate and thought the campsite was closed. We parked and spent the night. It was the next day that we saw the campsite. The entrance is a little narrow and the campsite is a bit tight for a 7.5 m motorhome, but it is quiet, with vegetation providing shade and very clean bathrooms.
Small park, but well looked after and maintained. Reasonable price.
Motorhome site with very good value for money, €7 for one night for one person, friendly staff, showers also included.
A very nice site at an acceptable price. We wanted to pay for and leave the site at 10:00 a.m.... but we couldn't! The staff had a 10-minute break and were busy on their phones. No time to take payment for two minutes?!
Excellent campsite with a friendly welcome. Neat sanitary facilities and sufficient power points (6A). It was not very full, so we could fit our 8 m vehicle. Most spaces are not designed for that, but we were allowed to use two spaces. The entrance is not very wide, and if it had been fuller it would have been problematic, as the paths through the campsite are very narrow.
We stayed one night at this place. Within walking distance of the town, with a typical Portuguese historic centre. The campsite is more like a walled motorhome site and has all the facilities, including a washing machine and dryer. Reviews say the sanitary facilities are outdated. I found that not too bad, and they were spotlessly clean. We paid €10 per night, and electricity costs an extra €2.50. Highly recommended.
Really a lovely little fortified village; the campsite is very good and inexpensive, ideal for mountain biking or walking. Very clean sanitary facilities and very helpful staff.
Everything perfect, beautiful village, very good facilities, attentive staff, and good value for money.
Vintage and compact campsite. Most pitches are tight and uneven, but nothing that a good driver and/or effective co-driver cannot solve. Prices from another era, everything very clean, decent, and always lively. Right next to the village. We will definitely return.
Good place to spend the night and see the town. Many sloping spaces and very variable in size.
Good organisation. Slightly outdated sanitary facilities, but very clean! Also a very nice town. Top spot.
An inexpensive municipal campsite, spotlessly clean, close to the centre, with friendly staff. There are 5 or 6 showers, 4 sinks, several toilets and sinks, and toilets for children. Old but very clean. Office, laundry, barbecue. The market is opposite and there is a pharmacy.
Small campsite with all services, including a barbecue area and picnic tables next to the pitches. In the village itself and very close to the historic centre. Affordable. Very clean. Very quiet in mid-September. Very friendly staff. Thanks to the town council for this type of facility!!!
Lovely campsite. Large vehicles and motorhomes with trailers, go elsewhere.
Municipal campsite near the town centre. Quiet place. Delimited pitch. Clean and functional sanitary facilities. 50-metre swimming pool included in the price. €10 for 2 people and 1 motorhome without electricity.
Neat municipal campsite close to the historic centre of the beautiful, tidy village. It is wonderfully peaceful here and everything is within walking distance. Sanitary facilities are okay but a little dated.
We found this a very pleasant campsite. Lovely town with many restaurants and a swimming pool (free) next door. The nights are monitored by a guard, giving a very safe feeling. We slept wonderfully every night, with occasional dog barking. We would love to return! One night, 4 people including electricity: €14.50 :)
A great little municipal campsite! With a municipal swimming pool next door, free for all campers! We paid €31 for two nights, one motorhome, three adults, electricity, all waste disposal, and access to the campsite showers and toilets! Very friendly staff who speak French—what more could you ask for?!
Very pleasant campsite, decent pitch, clean sanitary facilities, and very close to the town centre.
We do not usually like campsites in towns, but we came back to this one. The staff are lovely. The sanitary facilities are immaculate. It is quiet, just steps from the town, market, and supermarkets. And the price is more than reasonable. What more could you ask for? Special thought for Luisa and the two Annas.
Quiet and discreet. The campsite entrance has changed; you arrive near a hotel. Coming from Mertola, ignore the first sign and continue towards the sea. The campsite is on the left before the roundabout.
Small municipal campsite next to the village of Serpa. Quiet, with a few trees, as it was already over 30 degrees at the end of May. Old-fashioned but clean sanitary facilities and hot water.
A very nice, clean, and quiet place in town. People are very helpful and there’s all the services you could possibly need. We loved spending the night here.
