Castle-view parking, autobahn noise

Because we were stuck in traffic, we unfortunately arrived late. The three pitches were already occupied, so we spent one night in the parking area. Thank you very much for this overnight option!

I arrived very late at night. It was very crowded on a Friday evening, so we parked in the large parking area below the spaces along the roadside. Short but very quiet night.

The municipality is currently warning about oak processionary caterpillars at the site! If you park in the adjacent parking area, follow the parking rules and do not camp! The regular site users thank you.

Vehicles over 8 meters can unfortunately only park across the spaces. Is that really appreciated?

A butcher with a livestock transporter and trailer is occupying the marked areas. Behind it are the sports facility parking spaces, where there are currently seven motorhomes and still room for more. Please keep it clean. Thanks to the municipality. No service or electricity.

Great, quiet. We were here on Thursday and slept well. Trash facilities on site.

Nice spot with a view of the castle. The motorway can be heard. Passing traffic drives directly past the motorhome, not only at 30 km/h.

We stayed two nights up here at the motorhome site, not down in the car park. We found the place excellent: no noise or disturbances. The municipality deserves thanks for making this still possible.

Lured by the good reviews, we had a strange night. At night, people were drifting in the nearby parking area. Vehicles here beside the road also revved their engines and honked several times, which shows a lack of respect. Last but not least, two people walked very close around our motorhome during the night and pulled on the doors. Why? To the town: thanks anyway for the place!

Very quiet location, lots of space, clean.

A wonderful place. Motorhome site by the road. Parking across the spaces in the lower parking area is not welcome, so it is not really suitable for larger vehicles. Parking area slightly sloped. Do not behave as if camping!

Ideal for a stopover. It costs nothing, the ground is level, and an excellent Italian restaurant is quickly reachable on foot. We cannot judge the area itself because we continued quite early the next morning.

The spots are fine in themselves, but they are beside a road with a fair amount of traffic. There are no facilities. You can only dispose of your rubbish there.

Very nice motorhome site. We parked by the road, where it is signposted, with a view of the castle. The Italian restaurant in town is also top-notch. Gladly again.

The site is very nice. However, many people park in the sports hall parking area, unfortunately in a way that takes up three or four spaces. They also extend their awnings and spread out all their garden chairs and equipment. You should not bring a 10-meter liner plus trailer here either. The pitches are up by the road and clearly marked. Please show more respect.

Wonderful, quiet parking area. The town invites you to linger, with a view of the castle, illuminated in the evening, and surrounded by fruit trees. Many thanks to the town for making it possible to stay in this wonderful place.

A motorhome site by the road. It is lightly trafficked and quiet at night. Most campers park in the adjacent sports-center parking area because there are not enough spaces by the road. I visited the old town and castle. Thanks to the municipality for the quiet spaces.

Beautiful motorhome site at the sports parking area, which is not officially intended for motorhomes, but you are nevertheless allowed to stay here; shady, clean, and well maintained. You can hear the bypass road a little in the background, but it was fine. Münzenberg has a beautiful, very well-preserved and well-maintained old town. The castle ruins are a 20-minute walk from the parking area. I could spend another night here.

We stayed in the rear parking area. A beautiful, relatively quiet green spot not far from the motorway. You can walk across the soccer field and along the fields. Ideal for a stopover or exploring the surroundings. Excellent!

We stayed here for one night and thank the town for this wonderful, quiet, free place. Trash bin available. Brilliant as a stopover, but we could also imagine staying another day or two to explore the beautiful surroundings by bicycle.

It is a quiet and clean parking area, even with a trash bin. It was peaceful and we slept well. Many thanks to the town of Münzenberg for allowing us to park here for free. We would come again.
