A daytime parking area serving access to Velika Planina, with 3 car parks and parking for vans and motorhomes. Parking costs €30, and the ticket is valid 24h, allowing an overnight stay when displayed visibly; EasyPark is available. The access has previously been described as difficult, and 4G coverage is somewhat weak.

Today, June 20, we paid for our parking at 9:30 a.m. at P VP3. The person who collected the €30 confirmed that the ticket was valid for 24 hours and that we could stay overnight; the ticket must remain visible, regardless of the parking area. That is what we intended to do, but the no-overnight-parking sign is still there! So we left because it was risky.Translating
We did not stay overnight, but since 2024 there have been changes: parking is payable via EasyPark, so there are no more problems paying by SMS. Note that 4G was a little weak at this parking area.Translating
It would be great place but if you don't have local slovenia sim card, you can't pay for parking.... Actually priceis 10 € for small car per day (till midnight). So if you sleep there you need to have slovenia number (sim card) and pay twice.

We got there easily despite weighing 4.5 tons and being 7.89 meters long with front-wheel drive. However, we only parked and left again in the evening. The shepherds' village is truly recommendable, especially with children.Translating
