287 Corso Resina, 80056, Ercolano
Been here?
This large public parking area is currently closed because of construction work. When open, it is conveniently located about 800 meters from Herculaneum’s archaeological park, but it is often full and traffic makes it noisy. The area has also been described as dirty at the edges, with considerable public activity.

There is currently construction work here, so the entire parking area is closed.
We stayed one night; convenient for visiting the archaeological park. It was difficult to find a place—we managed at 7:00 a.m. Noisy, as it is in the city center on a very busy road.
Large parking area, but always full. We were lucky to get the last space. Litter around the edges, not particularly quiet, lots of public traffic, but conveniently located. We stayed two nights. No problem up to 6 m; I would not recommend it for longer vehicles.
This free parking area looks good. We did have to wait a little until a space became available. 800 meters from Herculaneum. We did not sleep here.
Parking lot appears to have been massively fixed up in the last year. Fresh pavement and no garbage. For Naples it seems really nice. I’m guessing they lock the gate at night but great for the day!
Parking closed at the moment.
We only stood here while visiting the museum. It was very crowded and tight, so not suitable for large motorhomes. When we arrived, the police were towing two broken-down cars from the parking area. The officer asked whether we planned to spend the night here; we said no, and he also said that was good, as it was not necessarily safe overnight. But it is fine for visiting during the day.
this doesn't deserve the rating it has. it is literally waste dump. lots of the cars there are abandoned ones too. lots of cars scratched so be mindful where you park. it was hard push to get there with 7m motorhome. it took twice longer to get out. yes, it is free parking not far away from train station and Vesuvius buses so I'll give it two stars. if you can look for alternative.
Quiet area, I stayed two nights and had no problems. The bad thing is that it is very dirty.
Large, free, convenient parking area. Ideal for leaving the camper and visiting Herculaneum.
15 minutes to the train station for Naples. Free. Close to the beach. Somewhat littered; difficult to sit outside.
Free parking within walking distance of Herculaneum. Great. Sleeping here is probably not pleasant.
