95 Calle Mayor, 50373, Gallocanta
Been here?
A quiet parking area at a hostel near the Laguna de Gallocanta, with beautiful countryside and a short walk to the lagoon and museum. The site currently has no services and no payment is requested. The hostel restaurant offers friendly service and recently served a 25 euro menu with four courses and wine, but food may not be available when there are no guests. In autumn and winter, the lagoon attracts more than 20,000 cranes.

Very pleasant place, very friendly welcome at the restaurant, and an excellent €25 menu with four courses and wine. Magnificent scenery.
They were not serving food because they had no guests, so it might be worth calling ahead, as there is not much else in the village. The people are very nice, though!
Very quiet place, without services (hence the rating of 4). No payment is requested. It is a hostel with a restaurant serving excellent Indian-Iberian fusion cuisine. We will return.
Good place to stay overnight without services. The restaurant makes up for it. The Indian chef is very friendly, speaks perfect German and English, and actually serves a three-course meal including wine for €16.
Stayed in the hostal car park for one night .no services but beautiful countryside . The bar and restaurant are open in the evening 3 course meal with a glass of wine €16 per person. Very peaceful nights sleep.
What a fantastic place this is. I stayed overnight in the car park. I can highly recommend the restaurant. It's just a short walk to the lagoon and museum.
We do not understand the previous reviewer's comment, because we were received very warmly and shown a lovely spot. Afterwards we watched cranes and visited the exhibition. In the evening we had a delicious meal in his restaurant—super tasty and incredibly cheap. In short, we will definitely return to this lovely place and its friendly people.
Currently, motorhomes cannot park at the hostel; they must park at the Gallocanta Lagoon Interpretation Centre. There are no water services: the tap is closed because it froze and has not been repaired, and there are no grey- or black-water facilities. The place where two motorhomes could park is occupied by two permanently stationed caravans. We will not return.
I spent a quiet night there, ate well in the charming hotel restaurant, and first took a walk through the attractive little town.
Only for sleeping. The restaurant was very nice, with good food and staff.
Only for sleeping; there are no other services. Very friendly people.
I arrived and was told it was closed. It seems COVID took its toll and it has shut down. What a shame.
