A quiet parking area at Werk aan de Groeneweg has one or two spaces, away from houses, with remnants of wartime fortifications nearby. The surroundings offer walks, historic features, birds, frogs, yellow flowers and morning mist. Overnight stays are prohibited by municipal regulations.

Rarely have we had such a quiet night. Frogs croak you into the morning. Countless bird calls, and now in May a sea of yellow flowers on the ramparts, fog in the morning hours, and kind people who tolerate you if you behave considerately toward nature.
Beautiful location. Flat ground and a few benches by the forts. You can take lovely walks here and learn some history as well. Farmers were active until 10:30 p.m., but after that it was pleasantly quiet.
