Free parking near a football field outside Visp centre, a short walk from the train station and shops. Since August 2022 overnight stays are banned and limited to a 3-hour parking-disc stay, with police fining or moving on campers who stay longer. No facilities and no shade, though train noise is audible. A paid campsite pool is nearby, and it's a handy stop for train trips to Zermatt.

We stayed there for free during the day. We ran a few laps on the adjacent running track. I don't think it is very suitable as an overnight spot.
As of August 1, 2022, overnight stays are no longer allowed there. We received a fine from the police this morning. You may only stay there for 3 hours with a parking disc.
