Quiet forest spot near the Belvédère des Caillettes in the Forest of Orléans, with several hiking starts. The forest road is somewhat damaged, and the bus parking 50m away is flatter. The viewpoint is closed, and camping in the Forest of Orléans has been prohibited.

Quiet place in the middle of the forest. We did not sleep there, just visited the viewpoint. We preferred the bus parking area 50 m away, which was flatter.
The forest road to the viewpoint parking area is a little damaged, but once you reach the end, there is nobody in sight. Several hiking trails start at the foot of the viewpoint. We only stopped there at lunchtime for lunch and then left.
(11 June 2022) Very many people. The observation tower is still closed. I did not stay and looked for somewhere else.
