A functional caravan and motorhome site near Formby Beach, with level tarmac pitches and grass beside the van for awnings. Booking requires calling ahead, and electric hook-up is included; the facilities key costs £2 but is refunded when returned. The site has decent toilets and showers, is close to the dunes and beach, and has a dated but welcoming atmosphere.

We discovered this place by chance two years ago and returned again this year. We love the extremely cozy atmosphere. You can take endless walks through the dunes to the huge beach and take the train to Liverpool (25 minutes on foot; the supermarket is on the way). The pub at the station is recommended. We are happy to come back!
Stayed for two nights, site was ok, lots of static caravans, field at the bottom for Motorhomes,the site is well located and has some decent toilets and showers, but no where to do laundry and when asked about emptying the cassette toilet was told it’s ok to put in a normal toilet- good job it was only fluid!! Just not sure can justify the £32 a night if can’t do washing.
Great location close to the sand dunes & Formby Beach. Level tarmac plots, with grass areas next to van for awnings. Room for some vans in the trees on pretty level ground, to give shelter from any wind. Site a bit dated, but perfectly functional. Lovely couple in reception. I rung up & actually talked to someone to book, which was perfect! Would definatly come here again.
