A free parking area around the reservoir, with many possible places to stand and excellent surroundings. The spots are generally flat, with some grassy areas further north, and provide access to mountain walks and several springs. Weekends can be busy, with people selling honey and olive oil; mobile internet coverage is reported to be good.

Many pitches all around the lake. We parked a little farther from it, an ideal starting point for hiking, in beautiful surroundings.
Nice flat spot. In the weekend it can get busy and people sell honey and olive oil. A bit further north there are also a couple of places with grass where you can stand. If it is not rainy you can also stand there very nicely, next to the lake. Nice walks up the mountain.
It is better and quieter on the other side of the wall, but anywhere around the reservoir is spectacular. We stayed 3 nights hiking the Rila mountain trails without problems. The spots are level and there is good internet coverage. There are also several springs around the reservoir.
