Been here?
This is a quiet gravel parking area and trailhead for a fjord hike, relatively flat in places but recently reported as uneven. There are no services or toilets, and the narrow, steep access makes passing difficult. The main hike is 14km each way, while a shorter route reaches the first viewpoint in about 45 minutes. Overnight parking has been reported at 50 Nok.

No services whatsoever, but a quiet hiking parking area where you are not alone.
Very nice spot for spending the night! We were alone all night, so there was no noise, and we woke up in the middle of the forest to singing birds! Parking area at the start of a hike along a fjord. No toilets.
Very good for one night. The ground is not flat. Start of a 14-kilometer hike one way, or a short 2.5-kilometer round trip to the first viewpoint. People arrive in the morning to do the hike. 50 NOK for the night. Impossible to find out how to pay without the VIPPS app! We were two motorhomes and one van.
Perfect for one night! It was wonderfully quiet.
Perfect for a quiet night and a hike of no more than 45 minutes to a magnificent viewpoint. The summit requires more time.
A nice place to spend the night, right by the start of a great hiking trail.
Perfect for spending the night after the hike and visiting the stave church 2 km away. We heard an owl very close by during the night. No view, though. Otherwise, very quiet.
Good for one night; relatively flat and quiet. Access via a rather steep but short track, with little possibility of passing other vehicles. The area has been somewhat damaged by forestry work, but there is no problem parking. Fine for dogs.
Good spot at the top of a steep hairpin road. A bit uneven in the car park, but nothing severe. Lots of logging work going on when we stayed here, so it was a bit messy. But I’m sure it’s not always like that. Good views and conviennent for the sauna on the lake in the town at the foot of the hill! Hugely recommend it, it was beautiful, invigorating and cheap!!
The parking of the famous hike Lårdalstigen. We stayed for one night and were on our own, quiet place. If you don’t want to walk the whole hike you can get a great view from the first viewpoint (~ 30 min walk on marked path)
Very nice place right where the hike starts. We arrived late in the afternoon and had the most beautiful view of the mountains on the horizon. A narrow road.
Beautiful place with a very slight slope; you can use stones as chocks. We slept very well. A few hikers the next morning. Perfect.
Road from Dalen was open when we went yesterday. Arrived at 7pm and there was lots of space for our van. Hike is brilliant!!
Great place. They ask you to pay 50 NOK via Vipps for the services, but it is optional.
Easily accessible place. Parking area currently under construction, with only 3 spaces available. Start of a hiking trail. Very quiet. Be careful: the road to Dalen was closed for construction from May 14 to 16, 2023, and possibly longer. Check before going.
Perfectly adequate for one or two nights if you want to do the hike. No particular view, but a clean and quiet spot.
