Reported permanently closed — new municipality-wide camping ban, sign posted, travellers sent away
Parking at the foot of the Niesen climb, in a quiet, discreet natural spot beside a river, with room for only one or two campers. It's not fully level and access is unsuitable for large motorhomes. No services are provided, so pack out your own rubbish. Note: since 2023 a camping ban applies across the whole municipality of Wimmis, and travellers have been sent away by locals.

Flat parking, quiet and by the water.
Really nice spot, almost flat. The river is 20 meters away but difficult to access. Bring trainers. No services, so take your rubbish with you :-)
