5 Place Marulaz, 25000, Besançon
Been here?
This spacious gravel parking lot is centrally located on the edge of Besançon’s old town, with easy access for a 7m motorhome. Parking is free and the spaces are large. It is convenient for visiting the city, but noise from busy roads and loud nighttime activity can be a problem. Homeless people are also present nearby.

The parking spaces are large enough. The location relative to the old town is perfect. But I have never experienced such extremely inconsiderate youths anywhere else. Walking past the motorhomes talking loudly at night is unfortunately normal here. Setting up speakers at 4 a.m. and throwing a rave party for 1.5 hours at maximum volume is outrageous. What a shame—the city and police need to address this.
It is okay. We were here with our motorhome, and the parking lot is centrally located, so you can reach the city within a few minutes. We thought it was fine. Of course there are homeless people in the area sleeping there, but they do not frighten me—in fact, quite the opposite. Several other motorhomes were here, so we were not alone.
Very well-located parking near the city centre and easy to access.
This is probably a good place for a short rest along the road but we didn't find it suitable for staying longer because, during the day, it was noisy because it is under two busy roads. And it was very dusty.
Will definitely find parking here, great to leave vehicle in day but too many crackheads for my liking.
Excellent parking for motorhomes up to 7 metres, free and close to the centre. Great for stopping while visiting the city. Very spacious, gravelled and with no restrictions. We came on Ferragosto and it was practically almost completely empty. Highly recommended!
A perfectly quiet night, except for the rain. Friendly conversation with one of the campers. unbeatable price! There were seven motorhomes.
