Woodland parking, narrow access

stayed there last night , very quiet, no other vans and no untoward goings on. is a distance from the lake , but can walk there , lots of speed cameras around, no farmer ( as mentioned on another post) the roads from the south are quite narrow

Stay here for the night. Found a decent place fairly easily with one or two other vans around. We had a nice walk to the lake and a good night sleep. Nice and quiet at night and even the early morning dog walkers were quiet and considerate.

Nice park up if you are after a secluded spot in the woodlands, not much of a view but really quiet at night. Be warned... the signal on vodafone and ee is POOR. No bother from this farmer in the morning, a lovely walk all around about 2 hours.

Gorgeous, quiet, flat, serene, surrounded by nature, birds, squirrels. Downside if needed is that there is not very good signal here. Bin in parking lot, too.

It was a great spot, I stayed here for one night. l got here at 9pm there was me and one other campervan. very quiet.

Lovely walks and environment, some walkers and farm vehicles, peaceful and safe spent two nights here , keep it clean

great place no problem parking here over night. this does NOT belong to the farmers. ignore the 1 star review, that probably a farmer. If a farmer ask you to move tell him to go and pay his inheritance tax like the rest of us.

No overnight parking. The farm owners that drive past to get to their property will ask you to move on.

We had a quiet undisturbed night here. We did attempt to walk around the lake, which was very dry. After walking for 40min we gave up and turned back.

Great spot, plenty of friendly dog walkers during the day but quiet at night. Nice walk down the lake to the railway.

Very peaceful. Beautiful walk around the lake which has a cafe and free toilets 40mins walk the other side of the lake. Dog walkers very friendly one gave us a box of duck eggs. Very busy in the morning (sat)

Plenty of flat space. My van is 6 meters and I had no issue. Lovely walk around the lake. No facilities or pub anywhere near. Limited phone signal on Sky/O2. Busy with dog walkers.

Great little overnight spot and very quiet. Well worth a trek around the lake too for some stunning views .

Didnt stop the night, but agree with previous comments. We are a 7.5mtr van and I consider myself a competent driver, but its just too tight for a van over 6.5 - 7mtrs if anyone parks close to you you will struggle to get out. we parked at North Car park but moved on after a while, it was a very nice weekend so mid week might be easier. But still tight to park and single lane access

Great quiet little spot, well out of the way, some cars / traffic through to the residential property’s but nothing after about 9/10pm. Short walk to nature trails and the lake with a nice little beech 5 mins away. Pub just around the corner will deffo use this place again when we are back in the area

A night quiet stop over out of the way. The lake was further away than the map suggested so we didn’t see it. One family we spoke with said the lake was a 40 minute walk- after a day at Alton Towers our legs weren’t up to that! Felt very safe and quiet. There is a bin there. We couldn’t get any phone or internet signal whilst we were there.

Great place for a sleep over. Well off the main road and very quiet. We were the only vehicle over night but was busy Saturday morning, through I did sleep in till 12. Lovely walk around the lake. There is a bin but would suggest take your rubbish with you. Well recommended spot for a quiet night
