Auf dem Kies 32, 74354, Besigheim
Been here?
This city motorhome area offers broad, level pitches within walking distance of Besigheim’s historic old town. Parking now costs 15 €, and water costs 1 € for 100 l; payment is possible by card, cash or Parkster app. The gravel surface can become dusty or muddy, and traffic from the nearby road is clearly audible, especially in the morning.

Flat, spacious pitches. Very close to the historic city center, which is very beautiful. To enter, you have to get out and remove the chain. Payment by bank card.
We were there on July 14; I am just correcting the price of the water: 100 liters cost €1, which is standard. As for the parking price, it is indeed a little high, but this area is well located for visiting Besigheim.
Very disappointing. This camper spot was often my destination when I was in the area. €15 is definitely unreasonable for a parking lot on the main access road. Of course, there will always be guests who don't mind, but I will look for alternatives—and they do actually exist.
A simple, dusty, and noisy parking lot, with road noise, whose price has risen from €7 to €15. The machine does not accept French bank cards—we tried two cards! Water costs €1 per 50 liters, which is prohibitive. It's a rip-off!
The site is within walking distance of the old town and is better than the previous reviews suggested. You can pay via the Parkster app, but also by card or cash at the terminal, which I find very commendable. It is quiet at night; in the morning you can hear the children in the schoolyard and the traffic. It is also somewhat dusty, but very practical for visiting the city, which is well worth seeing. Good restaurants.
Too bad; this used to be my overnight stop on trips to Italy. I always left plenty of money there, stocked up on holiday supplies at Lidl, and ate at local restaurants. As a simple overnight parking area, it is too expensive with the price doubling to €15. I'll leave my money elsewhere in the future.
We really enjoyed staying at the camper spot. But with the price doubled for the same service, unfortunately no longer.
A doubling from €7.50 to €15 is in no way reasonable. It is a simple gravel area with mud and dirt. Dusty on hot days, muddy with puddles when it rains. There is also heavy traffic noise on an unenclosed site. Now only recommended for waste disposal and emptying.
The camper spot price has simply doubled. Paying twice as much for the same service is outrageous. The site is nothing special, next to the road, next to the sports field, and next to a skate park, so it is too expensive at €15. The city administration should think about this.
The price has simply doubled, now €15 per day. Very disappointing. The local press reported that the city had run into financial difficulties. It remains to be seen whether the camper spot will still be as popular and bring camper spending into the old town.
The parking meter currently works only with coins. Thank you to the municipality for providing a good place.
We found the camper spot ideal. We think €7.50 is completely reasonable, as is the electricity price. We did not need waste disposal. There is also a rubbish bin. The road did not bother us. Behind the sports field, a footpath leads directly into the old town, with very good restaurants. We would gladly come back.
The parking meter did not work during our stay, neither with a card nor with coins. We could not contact the tourist office because it is unreachable until January 6. Small town with charm, easily reachable on foot. Good shopping opportunities right around the corner. Fine as a stopover. The road is heavily trafficked until late in the evening, but it did not bother us.
Good camper spot, with everything necessary at a reasonable price. Relatively quiet at night.
Excellent. Everything is available. The route to the city center is past the sports field on the left. Simple payment by card or cash. Fresh water €1. Waste disposal free. Thanks to the city. This works!
The village is beautiful and everything is within walking distance. But unfortunately, there is no Wi-Fi.
We liked it here: a quiet night and a very lovely little town with nice places to eat!
On a heavily trafficked road until midnight and from the early morning hours, in a shaded hollow. In sunshine it is dusty; in rain it is muddy with puddles. The water outlet for fresh water and cassette rinsing was made very unpleasant: a sheet-metal reinforcement was installed so poorly that the black-water flap no longer stays open. If necessary, it is okay for one night. The town is nice.
The site is very practical and inexpensive. Visiting the nearby old town is the highlight.
The camper spot is beside a road. Electricity and waste disposal are available. The fresh-water connection does not look very nice. Wi-Fi is listed in the description, but unfortunately is not available. If the city installed a shower and toilet, this would be a practical overnight spot, with the nearby city and grocery stores across the road.
