Great spot to stay for a short or long time. Good place to picnic or watch the sunset. Also a great walk to Gaztelugatxe. Bit of a longer walk than from the other entrance but free parking and worth it. For those who want to stay longer: In the evening ~22:30 police came by and in the morning ~08:00 rangers from the Gaztelugatxe park.

Daytime parking only. There is a sign prohibiting overnight stays. On the day we went to watch the sunset, there were about 20 vans and motorhomes clearly intending to stay overnight. The police arrived and warned that fines would be issued. People do not follow the rules, even when there are signs.✦Translating

Parking for about 40 caravans. Some slope, but not much. Next to it there is grass with long fixed tables. Despite the number of people, it is quiet. There are toilets a few meters away; although they are cleaned, they are quite dirty.

Great, just as described. Spectacular and peaceful views. That said, don’t even mention the public toilet—it’s disgusting. Fortunately, it is far from the parking area, so the smell does not reach it. There would be many more spaces if motorhomes parked properly, but they park sideways, so from around 7 p.m. it is difficult to find a place.

Perfect place to spend one night. Beautiful sunset and clean picnic area. Toilets are available at the end of the road, after a short walk. No drinking water or wastewater disposal.

Idyllic place, perfect for disconnecting. Picnic areas, bathrooms, and rubbish bins are provided, and there are several hiking routes nearby. The lighthouse at the cape is easily reached on foot or by vehicle. There is no coverage in the parking area, but if you approach the path leading to the lighthouse, near the entrance to the parking area, you can find 5G.

I can only give it three stars. The place is ideal, clean, and safe, but there is no internet coverage. It is impossible to connect, and to plan our next routes and stops, we need at least to be connected to the network. You cannot even send a simple WhatsApp message to your family.

We stayed on June 9. Parking with a wonderful panorama where you can admire sunsets. It is only a parking area. There are bathrooms, but we did not use them. From here you can walk to the monastery. We used it as a base for exploring by e-bike and visiting the beautiful beach of Bakio and the beaches of Bermeo. Quiet and safe place.

Really nice spot with a sea view. We arrived around 6:30 p.m.; there were still a few spaces, but it quickly filled up. Sloping ground for sleeping overnight. Access path to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe is 2.4 km away with a significant elevation change. We had not reserved, but there was no check when we arrived at 7:30 p.m. Magnificent site.

Great spot despite the toilets being not very clean and closed in the morning. Starting point for one trail to a lighthouse and another to San Juan. Picnic tables and a great view. Attention: parking is impossible on July 30, 2025, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. because of filming.

Beautiful views and very peaceful. quite tight to fit in if you arrive late, we arrived around 9pm and managed to squeeze our small van in. toilets a bit smelly but had loo roll. felt very safe. no issues with having pop top roof up. I reccomend it!

Superb spot with a magnificent view and the possibility of taking a few hikes nearby. The road is right next to it but is not really bothersome because there is little traffic after 6 p.m. Toilets are accessible, but there is no water. In peak season, you obviously will not be alone, but when everyone respects each other and the place, it is pleasant.
