Quiet forest parking, toilets closed

A quiet place at night, with very high turnover during the day, even during the week. The toilets are currently out of order. The walking route around the lake is highly recommended; sturdy, good footwear is essential.✦Translating

Just perfect in winter. We loved seeing the Northern Lights. Despite the snow and cold, it is very popular with snowshoe hikers and Northern Lights watchers. Traffic continues until late at night.✦Translating

We stayed on 17th July and the toilets were open ( though not pleasant). In fact they were emptied the next morning. We had a quiet night there.✦Translating

Pleasant nature spot. Peaceful night. We were four, so it was not easy to find a level place. Do not park at the start of the trail marked by a sign, as some locals come to unload their snowmobiles to go fishing at Lake Tuulisjärvi.✦Translating

Parking in the middle of the forest, with a dry-toilet cabin that does not work. If you walk to the antenna, five minutes away, you get spectacular views. There is a 1.5 km trail to a lake with excellent free facilities. The road to the parking area is a gravel road in poor condition, hence the four stars.✦Translating

Very quiet parking area reached via an unpaved uphill road, but quite manageable; we have a 6-metre semi-integrated motorhome. The toilet on site is temporarily closed. A 1.5 km walk leads to the small lake, where there are dry toilets, a barbecue, and a hut with a large table, stove and small kitchen. Highly recommended.✦Translating

We spent the night here with four other campers. We were lucky enough to see a white reindeer near the gravel road leading to the site. The night was quiet. Few mosquitoes here.✦Translating
