Been here?
Flat, free parking beside the Douro River offers beautiful mountain and vineyard views. It has shaded picnic tables, an outdoor sink and bins, but the toilets are currently closed. The nearby restaurant closes on Mondays, and the area can be brightly illuminated at night. Access includes a narrow, short steep section.

Flat parking area, with no designated motorhome spaces. There is a restaurant next to the parking area that closes on Mondays. The scenery is magnificent, beside the Douro River and the surrounding mountains with their vineyards. There are toilets, but they are closed; a sink; shaded tables with benches; a small floating dock with a ladder for getting out of the river; and very small beaches.Translating
Nice quiet place right beside the river. We were the only ones there. Would’ve been perfect if the toilets were unlocked. Small tap and sink with water was a bonus too
This is a magnificent place on the banks of the Douro, very quiet this Monday during Holy Week, when the motorhome parking areas are full. The only operational facilities are rubbish bins, an outdoor sink for washing dishes, and a few shaded tables. The bar is closed, perhaps for renovations. The toilets are locked.Translating
What a lovely place by the water. Wonderfully quiet at night too. Apart from rubbish containers, there are no facilities. Nevertheless, I rate this place 5 stars.Translating
Large paved area with several level pitches on the banks of the Douro. You should definitely visit the small Salma restaurant: very friendly owners, delicious wine, and a tasty platter of cured meats, sausage, and cheese. The only disadvantage (hence only four stars) is that the area is brightly lit at night.Translating
Beautiful parking area along the Douro. We stopped there for a picnic, but ended up enjoying a delicious platter of cured meats and cheese plus a glass of excellent wine at Salma, a friendly bar with a view. We highly recommend it.Translating
Beautiful flat spot on the Douro River. On the site there is a nice bar/shop with wines and local products, which opened two months ago. Very friendly owners. In the evening we had a delicious cheese and cold-cuts platter. Highly recommended! There is also a picnic area and barbecue. Shower and toilet are open only during the day.Translating
Narrow access road, paved, level parking area directly beside the river. Toilets are open when the bar is open. Anglers arrive in the morning. Very quiet.Translating
The parking area is really great! Very quiet and directly on the Douro, but beware: access is very complicated. We just managed it with an 8 m motorhome. The roads to find the place are completely safe, but once you have made it, it is a great base for exploring the upper Douro Valley, for example by moped.Translating
Large parking area, beautiful view. Good for eating. The bar closes late in the evening. For the night, it is quiet after closing, if the streetlights do not bother you (it is as bright as daytime). Staying overnight is possible. Toilets closed.Translating
Quiet parking area, but the toilets are closed. Easy to park in the evening; many locals arrive in the morning. Construction work is currently causing a lot of noise in the parking area when you wake up.Translating
Very beautiful place right next to the Douro. We had a quiet night.Translating
I spent one night at this village-centre-adjacent spot on the Douro. A few local cars arrived late in the evening, but everything remained quiet. Construction work currently starts early in the morning, causing some noise. I neither used nor inspected the toilets. All in all, despite minor deductions, a great place. Thank you.Translating
Parking okay, no beach, no bar.Translating
Quiet spot, superb view! Ideal for gathering strength before discovering the Douro Valley. Mobile network available on site.Translating
Lovely spot, nice view, very quiet. We were alone. The toilets and shower are out of service.Translating
Very quiet and completely flat, with good 4G reception. Access is a little difficult for large vehicles.Translating
Great spot by the river and very quiet - we were the only van last night. Don't go in the toilets - they haven't been cleaned for a while!!
Beautiful place; only the access lowers my rating. With our 6.70 m motorhome, it was manageable, but longer motorhomes should avoid it. Above all, take the entrance at the back; the one immediately on the left is a staircase!Translating
Several pitches with a beautiful view across the Douro! Sublime! That evening, a dog barked for much of the night, but overall it was great! However, access is difficult.Translating
Quiet and scenic location to stay the night immediately on the Douro river. One star less as everything suffers from low maintenance: high weeds, rubbish. And the rumble of the cruise ship at the quai at 100m. Bread and emergency shopping available at the bar (200m). The lady is fluent in English.
Perfect for spending the night. Superb view of the Douro. Quiet and not very busy when we visited. Water point for washing dishes. Downside: some rubbish and very dirty toilets.Translating
Excellent place to take a lunchtime break by the water. Very quiet, with a few fishermen.Translating
Excellent place! Highly recommended. There is also a nice circular route for hiking through the vineyards.
Absolutely nobody there on a Monday evening. Large parking area, quiet place by the water. The shower is broken and the toilets are dirty. A small bonus: a barbecue and tables are available.
Several pitches, with the possibility of parking in the shade. Water, shower, toilet, and toilet paper available if you have the necessary fittings. Train until midnight, rooster at wake-up time, and lovely church bells.
Hidden gem! It is so beautiful and peaceful. Quiet at night. Did some yoga out on the pier in the morning and took a quick swim afterwards. And people, please, take your trash with you.
