Peaceful mountain site, hot showers

We booked before arriving. Once there, you have to check in using an automatic machine, which is very easy. They ask for your ID during check-in. Once completed, you receive a card (key) that lets you enter and leave without any problems. Unbeatable views. The village has a bar and a bakery. Wonderful place. Don't make the same mistake we did: arrive with a full tank of fuel, because the nearest petrol station is 40 minutes away. Just one drawback: during our stay we saw some youths harassing the owner of a camper, even hitting the vehicle. The adjacent sports center has paid hot showers. The village has a small shop, a cheese dairy (Valdeón Blue Cheese PDO), bars, and restaurants. Thanks to the town for this quiet area, with well-defined and almost level pitches. The brave can walk to Caín in about 2.5 hours. Vans can go as far as Caín, or at least get closer, where there are parking areas. Otherwise, taxis can bring you back if you no longer have the energy to walk back after doing both trails; €30 per trip.✦Translating

One point of criticism: check-in works fine, but please remove the municipality's preference for specific numbers. Every day people park in the wrong numbered spot, creating a snowball effect. We had already checked the website and identified a few possible pitches, so choosing a pitch during check-in was not an issue. Everything positive has already been said; it could hardly be better for the price. We took the coastal route to get here, which is quite something: 90 km took two hours, and the fuel gauge dropped extremely quickly, so don't set off with the tank almost in reserve.✦Translating

Beautiful, popular camper site with all facilities. Since this year, the municipality has installed payment machines at the women's and men's showers, so you can now enjoy a hot shower for €1. I am very happy about that.

We stayed here idyllically with an incredible panorama of the Picos de Europa. Very central; the Cares Gorge can be reached by car in 15 minutes or on foot. Water and electricity directly at the site, sanitary facilities in the adjacent sports hall, absolutely adequate. Unfortunately, there were some problems with the booking machine.

Best parking area on our trip through Spain. €15 for a pitch with a separate space for a table and chairs, plus electricity and water at every pitch. I recommend taking a quick look around the site before choosing a number during registration. For the Cares route, we recommend taking a taxi. €60 for a round trip to Caín.

Great spot, the views are spectacular. The drive in was slow and winding but an amazing sight. The pitches are spacious. It was quiet when we were there early this week for 2 nights. €15 a night including electricity which didn’t miss a beat. We used the showers at €1 for 7 minutes, nice and hot. Toilets also ok, no complaints. We walked to cain and then did the cares trail. Beautiful place.

Area with incredible views. It costs €15 per night, including electricity. The village is very beautiful and there are routes nearby, as well as a cheese dairy selling the area's typical blue cheese. The area has showers, but they cost extra.

The view is wonderful and it is very quiet, but the price is incorrect. We pay €11.50 per camper and €7 per person, and the Wi-Fi did not work either.

Absolutely stunning location. We planned to stay for only one night but extended it to two. The machine to check in worked perfectly. Beware, I failed to get hot water out of men's shower number 4, but number 1 was OK. I think the temperature knob on number 4 doesn't go around as far as the others.

At this time of year, we did not book on the website but paid directly at the machine because there was almost nobody there. Magnificent setting with several possible hikes. Everything is available: free toilet, hot shower for €1, which is very affordable, and enough time to wash your hair. If we pass this way again, we will definitely return to sleep here.
