Grassy bay area, no facilities

This is a perfect camp site. To clarify the issue with the water hose and the disposal of the chem tois: there are two hoses! One nearby the disposal point and a second hose for drinkwater nearby the containers. One will find it.

This is a fabulous spot with great access to the beach to walk into Bamburgh. We stayed 2 nights last week, great value. But, be aware, the tap near the elsan disposal is NOT suitable for use as drinking water, even though several people were filling bottles here. People also use it to clean their cassettes. We couldn't access a fresh water tap on site. That's a health risk.

We spontaneously looked for a pitch and ended up here by chance with Paul and his wife. Great view, free choice of place on the huge meadow, and everything completely uncomplicated. Levelling wedges are important because it is sloped in places. There is fresh water and the option to empty toilets.✦Translating

No trash cans. Minimal services provided - elsan and fresh water only. Amazing top view. Recommended. Walkable to the castle if you are mobile. Park as you wish, but stay 6 meters apart. Dogs on leads. Flat is possible without wedges with patience.

This place is called Budle Farm Camping. Still £15.00 per night. Large grassy area with a magnificent view of the inlet and sea. Difficult to get completely level. You can empty the toilet cassette. Drinking water is available. No rubbish bin. Close to Bamburgh.✦Translating

We returned to this site after 7 years and were just as impressed as we were back then. A great place for self-sufficient campers; fresh water and toilet disposal are available.✦Translating

Great little park up. £15 for the night. Water, elsan point and waste water point available. Sloping field but there are some flat spots. Fantastic sunset and beautiful views. Friendly farmer will come round and collect in the evening/morning. Didn’t have to pay for my two dogs. Lovely walk to the beach and dogs are allowed. Only downside was a bit of road noise in the morning but not too bad.

Beautiful place if you are self-sufficient. Apart from water and a great view, there is nothing. The site warden was very nice. We had no pounds and were allowed to pay in euros.✦Translating

Ideal overnight stop, with only an Elsan point, grey-water disposal and fresh water. A bonus find. The views across Budle Bay and the sunset are stunning. Friendly, with payment collected in the evening and great walks nearby. The land is sloped; those who prefer level parking should bring chocks.✦Translating

Great location, stunning views, access to the beach and walks. Sloping field, fresh water and black waste. Lots of birdlife. Well worth £15. Unfortunately a lot of off lead dogs and a minority of owners not picking up after them.

Really nice park-up with great views/sunset over Budle Bay. Sloping field, so needed levelling chocks. Need to be self contained as no WC facilities, chemical waste and grey water drop, so all good. Friendly owner. £15 p/n. Would definitely come again.

This is a great one night stay if you're equipped for off-grid. No facilities but they do have chemical waste disposal. The views and sunset are worth the £15 cash fee.

A great stopover. We stayed for one night. You just park up and the gent comes to collect your £15. Explains where the chemical waste disposal/ fresh water is. No Toilets. Lovely view and walk through the nature reserve (birds) great little spot to stay.

Overnighting worked well. You have to look for a level spot. It was dry, so driving on the grass was no problem. We received an envelope on the windscreen for payment because we were away. The view is great, and there is also a sandy beach. At the beginning of August, many spaces were available. No registration.✦Translating

Spectacular views of the bay and Holy Island. The owner comes to collect payment and explains how to empty and refill the water. The only problem is that there is no grey-water disposal, or that is how we understood it. In this country, disposing of grey water is generally difficult.✦Translating

Such an amazing motorhome pitch. Reservations are not possible. Payment is collected easily in the evening, and if you are not there, the money is simply left on the table. Dogs allowed. Water and a functional Elsan point, no rubbish disposal. A 40-minute walk to Bamburgh via the beach, dunes and golf course—so beautiful.✦Translating

Beautiful view, but far too many dogs. That is exactly my criticism of their owners. Some apparently think it is unnecessary to clean up after their dogs.✦Translating

10-07-2025 What an amazing park up, yes it’s just a field but with amazing views and quite a few spots that are level, we were never bothered with bugs, slight onshore breeze (that was welcomed) did I mention the views? So peaceful sat for hours watching time pass by. The owner walked round and collected his £15 per night, ATM is available locally at the local Co op only a few miles away, 5 stars!
