Rural farm site, no electricity

A little piece of paradise in nature, with sheep as neighbours. A very pleasant welcome from the owner. We were alone in the second part of the grounds under the trees. The children built a hut, and nearby we found a farm where we could buy fresh vegetables, honey, flour and more.

Very narrow roads to get there, but we managed with our 8.5-metre coachbuilt motorhome. Quiet, beautiful, clean and spacious site. Lots of greenery, with squirrels and sheep. The very friendly gentleman advised us to visit Fort Nelson, which we did and enjoyed a lot. Entry to the fort is free.

Very peaceful in the countryside, with a very narrow road to get there. We have a semi-integrated motorhome measuring 2.25 by 6.67 metres. You need to contact the farm managers by phone, and they will indicate the disposal point hidden in the woods.

Beautiful, quiet, small and simple site. Very friendly owner. We stayed a second night and took a lovely bike ride via Old Winchester Hill to Alton and the Jane Austen House in Alton. It is best to approach from the west; the lanes here are narrow. Even with our 7.5-metre semi-integrated motorhome, there was no problem.

We made a short stop to fill up with water and empty the black-water tank; we could not empty the grey water because our European motorhome has the outlet underneath. Quiet place with beautiful scenery around it. We had to continue our journey, but we would have liked to stay overnight. Recommended.

Very welcoming farmer, very quiet place. Fresh water available, disposal of black and grey water also possible. Next time when we are over we will definitely stay longer than only 1 night.

We spent 2 nights here. Loved it, very peaceful. David was a smashing chap. We may return next May, but won't have to avoid parking under oak tree as it won't be dropping its acorns! Handy for visiting Portsmouth, using our bus passes!

The perfect place in the middle of nature to spend the night. Really not far from Plymouth for the ferries. £10 per night with a very friendly welcome.

Farm campsite with the essentials for £10, which is rare in the UK; friendly welcome. Campers are a little close together, but the area is extremely picturesque.

My best night’s sleep all week. Felt very safe. Ground was level. So so quiet here with just birdsong in the morning. The septic tank came in very handy. Very much with the £10.

Thank you very much for this beautiful, peaceful pitch in nature. Everything is available if, like us, you travel without electricity. It would be wonderful if there were more places like this in Switzerland too.

very scenic and peaceful place. David the landowner is a lovely man, he came to meet and greet us and gave us a printout of things to do in the area , local shops, chemists, doctors ect. The price is going up to £10 a night as the cost of living ,( thank you Kier Starmer ) is going up for everyone. David said his rates, sewage ,water ect are up by 50% hence the price rise .

good site to stop over on very muddy currently, but I bet it's lovely in the summer.

Lovely place to park up, quiet and peaceful. David who owns the lands is friendly and welcoming, came and saw us when we called to arrange payment, made sure we were ok and if we needed anything . Drinking water available and places to eat near by although we didn’t eat out.

Perfect for a stopover in nature, without a sound! Fresh water and black-water disposal available. And all that for only £6! Very friendly welcome from David. The ground is uneven, so bring levelling blocks. The road to get there is quite narrow but suitable for motorhomes measuring 7–8 metres.

Wonderful peaceful place. Highly recommended! Rubbish, drinking water, chemical toilet disposal and grey-water emptying are available. On arrival in the evening I called the farmer David. The place cost £6 for one night. Payment was made through the letterbox because we left early in the morning.

Very friendly welcome, quiet pitch, close to Portsmouth. On arrival you receive an information sheet packed with details about attractions, including HMS Victory 14 miles away.
