Unnamed Road, 13600, Alcázar de San Juan
Been here?
A parking area beside the windmills, with city views, a picnic area, benches, rubbish bins and a fountain. It is shared with cars and useful for visiting the mills, but the access road is too narrow for two vehicles to pass. Some parts are level, although the area has recently been reported as extremely dirty, with broken glass and litter. Night-time noise from cars and groups can occur.

Parking area with a superb view, but we did not stay because it was extremely dirty: cans, bottles, shards of glass, plastic, paper—a real open-air dump. People are disheartening!
Shared parking area with cars, which is practical for visiting the windmills. The access road is too narrow for two vehicles traveling in opposite directions.
Beautiful place to spend the night. The view of the windmills is spectacular, and since we stayed on a Monday night, it was absolutely peaceful.
We spent one night in this area. We have a motorhome, and the climb was awful because Maps takes you along a dirt road. I recommend taking the other route: instead of going directly to the parking area, enter the windmills' address directly. The site is great and sunrise over the windmills is beautiful, but a party was held in the picnic area with music at full volume, so we could not sleep well. No services.
What a shame. I had to leave at 2 in the morning because cars started arriving and playing music at full volume, making it impossible to sleep. Such a shame. There is some rubbish, but that is not the worst part.
We stopped on July 8 to visit the windmills. We had lunch in the picnic area under the pergola. Wonderful place.
The view and the atmosphere with the windmills are wonderful. However, there are two large floodlights in the center that brightly illuminate the picnic area and parking lot. Despite the wind and low temperatures at the end of March, cars arrive at night. Unfortunately, one car with very loud music is enough to make the whole experience unpleasant.
Only visited to see the windmills. Spectacular views, and one of them can be visited. The parking area has tables and benches and a fountain. It is not completely flat.
Good place to sleep, probably much better during the week. On Friday from 1 to 3 a.m., some youngsters were in the picnic-table area drinking beer and talking loudly. I recommend parking as far as possible from the tables. Some areas are well leveled. Good views. A fountain. Some rubbish in the area. Cars come and go at night without causing much disturbance. Couples’ hangout.
Again I stayed 2 nights here and I really enjoyed it. Yes, typical dirt around and depending of the day some Spanish youngsters drinking and chatting, but overall it remains a nice spot, offering superb views and nice walks. The water-tap was in function! One does hear the main-road, highway and train-track though. Keep it clean!
A steep climb, but then a flat parking area with wind in summer, making it very pleasant. Beautiful view, close to the windmills, but full rubbish bins and the usual litter, as everywhere in Spain.
Ideal for watching the sunset and the windmills, which are illuminated at night. No shade, but there is a breeze. No services. We spent a very peaceful night without wind. There are picnic tables where local youths chat, but they leave when it gets dark. Lots of flies.
Excellent, quiet place. Many people walk and hike here, but I would avoid it on weekends because at dawn some youngsters woke us by making noise with their engines and doing donuts very close to our vehicle. Higher up at the windmills, people were playing music. Very windy.
Quiet surroundings, beautiful view, ideal overnight spot. The water tap has been removed; picnic area available. The windmills were closed.
