Beautifully located on the Schwalm, two minutes from the old town, bakery and butcher five minutes away. Recommendation: have breakfast at Schwälmer Brotladen, then go to the Dead Church via the town hall and return to the pitch. Unfortunately, no electricity!!!✦Translating

Dirty, unmaintained, clearly not in use. Full of rubbish. We took a chance and slept here as the only ones, since we arrived late and just had to leave early the next day. Cars came and idled for 20 minutes while playing loud music and people talked loudly. Feeling unsafe, we got up and drove on.✦Translating

Excellent spot. Free. Great with a dog and for exploring the city. We felt relatively safe here, although many young people were around—it was Friday, after all. You can hear the railway, but it is okay. Shame there are no bins; please take your rubbish with you.✦Translating
