Lakeside stop, overnight fines reported

This is our second time using this stopover. A lovely peaceful night and only 1 other camper here.

A warning to avoid this location on summer weekends. Deep base, loud rave music, started at 20:30 and continued until the early hours the next day. Also, inconsiderate campers arrive at very late times and make an awful lot of noise and shine their headlights and torches at other campers. Otherwise, likely a great spot, just be aware of the possible downsides.

lovely, quiet place to spend a night. shaded areas, large car park and the swimming lakes with a bar nearby (vital in this heatwave!). spent one night and slept perfectly, the nature reserve nearby is a lovely walk too

Super camper spot! It can be somewhat noisy at weekends because of the swimming lake opposite, but we still enjoyed it very much! The surrounding nature reserve invites you to take beautiful walks!

Day parking only! On May 2, overnight campers received parking tickets! There is no sign anywhere, but the people at the nature conservation center also confirmed this to us. The site about 500 m farther on, behind the football facility, is permitted, quieter, and greener!

Stopped here again as an overnight stop while passing through. It is still very quiet, and the location by the nature reserve is wonderful. The toilet is still closed, but we can recommend this camper spot at any time.

Very beautiful place, directly by the Biodiversum. We did not stay overnight here, but it would not have been a problem. During the day, however, there is a lot of traffic from cars and dump trucks.

Level spaces, a very quiet night along a road between lakes. Many dump trucks passed in both directions early in the morning, in case anyone is a late riser. Recommended!

Very quiet place next to the ponds of the nature reserve. Woken by birdsong, with a marked walking trail. Don't miss a short visit to the Biodiversum: a magnificent exhibition about the animals of the reserve, which children really enjoy. The little restaurant "Le Chalet" is also nice and reasonably priced.

Beautiful setting and very peaceful, with nice walks. It would be nice if the toilets were open all the time. The bar of the "Carpodrome" looked very nice as did the "Chalet" restaurant. I'll go back in the summer to swim in the lake.

Go see the birdwatching huts. What a beautiful place. Also visit the Schengen Museum. Reverently updated. I've never been to such an interactive museum.

Pleasant place to spend the night, right next to a nature reserve with lovely walks. There is plenty of space; some parking spaces are deep, so they are perfect for longer vehicles. There is some vehicle traffic during the evening, but it remains very quiet at night.

Very beautiful and pleasant place, plenty of space, and a toilet and even a shower available. Strangely enough, we are currently the only camper here. Starting point for beautiful walks and bike rides.

A reasonably quiet night. There was a party happening nearby, but they quietened down by 11.45pm ish. I didn't mind, I was enjoying their music. Toilets were locked in the evening. It was a lovely free spot for a night, and I would recommend it. We fit really well into a space (7.23 meters long van)

A free place in a fantastic nature reserve! You should definitely go exploring. There is a nice restaurant 50 meters away where I had a delicious meal. Shops and a petrol station are nearby. The parking area is on a through road, which meant I did have some trouble with traffic noise. But the location more than makes up for that! Thanks for such a lovely free place!

No services, but that is even better this way! Plenty of beautiful places to park and spend the night. Despite quite a lot of traffic, the night was peaceful and ended with the gentle singing of birds. There are lovely walks in the nature reserve, and the bird center is worth discovering.

Great, quiet free camper spot by the nature reserve, suitable for passing through or staying for two nights. We stayed there at the beginning of October and drove to Luxembourg the next day, 20 minutes away. Cheap petrol station and supermarket nearby.

Quite a decent overnight place. Services closed from 15 September 2024. Plenty of spaces. Lovely walk around the area with lakes, biodiversity, and an impressive wooden building.

Very busy on sunny days and the spaces fill up quickly. There is also a lot of traffic along the road bordering the spaces. At night, cars have fun honking as they pass. We preferred parking near the sports fields, which was considerably quieter and more peaceful.

Along the parking area there are spaces for motorhomes measuring 7.5 m.

Quiet free camper spot by the nature reserve, suitable for passing through. Very cheap petrol station nearby; unfortunately, the toilet was closed.
