Quiet beach parking, rubbish and smells

We had a quiet night with four cats, shortly after arriving late from the ferry. I think this is a good place to arrive in the evening or take the ferry early in the morning.✦Translating

In theory, a perfect place to sleep. BUT the site is used for illegal rubbish burning; the numerous piles of waste speak clearly. We arrived at noon and were just swimming when a pickup truck arrived with bulky waste. They burned the rubbish less than 10 meters from our camper—unbelievable! We immediately left because of the terrible smell and everything else. What a shame.✦Translating

Perfect spot to spend the night. There is light on the road, so not totally dark and there is close to you water supply. Very quiet in the night✦Translating

At the end of the short gravel road, it was very quiet day and night in early September, and there were three or four motorhomes/vans. The village is 1–2 km away on foot, but I would not leave a camper unattended in the evening because it is so isolated. We drove to the village in the evening, where there are parking spaces. It was windy and wavy when we were there, but at the very back of the bay the water is shallow and easily accessible.✦Translating

The best free spot in Kefalonia, right by the sea, very peaceful, with the village within walking distance.✦Translating

Excellent place to stop, including overnight, with a splendid pebble beach, crystal-clear sea, and the welcome presence of goats. We will return.✦Translating

We arrived in the evening by ferry and chose this place. In the morning, a beautiful view greeted us. It was not crowded. Nobody checked on us.✦Translating

We spent here on night, noone disturbed us. The water is clear, if you have a smaller van, you can park under the tall bushes and have shade. Quiet at night, the only downside of this lot is the trash and the smell that comes with it.✦Translating

Actually a beautiful parking spot, but unfortunately there is a rubbish dump at the end of the gravel road, which is a dead end. Locals come by all day long, back and forth, and we really did not feel comfortable. We collected rubbish from the beach every day. It is a shame for such a beautiful place. We stayed there for two nights at the beginning of May 2025, close to the ferry port.✦Translating
