6 Rue des Aubépines, 85340, L'Île-d'Olonne
Been here?
A free, quiet and relatively flat parking area near the village centre and shops, where everything is walkable. It has a bin, picnic tables and children’s play equipment, but no separate recycling or other services. The nearby marshes are suitable for walks, and the beach is 15 minutes away by bicycle. School buses stop between 7:30 and 8 a.m. on school mornings, and parking should be avoided during events at the hall.

Quiet and relatively flat parking area. We stayed one night. Everything went well.
Quiet, paved parking area close to the town center and shops. Everything can be reached on foot. There is a bin, but no recycling. Picnic tables and children’s games are available. We spent 2 restful nights here.
Good, relatively quiet and shaded location with children’s play equipment... all that is missing is a yellow recycling container.
Excellent free spot. We stayed 2 nights with our motorhome towing a trailer. Small playground for children, and small shops within walking distance (mini-market, bakery, bar...). You can reach the beach in 15 minutes by bicycle, passing the salt marshes. Very few vans or motorhomes are parked here.
A great place to stay overnight, very level and with shade. Nearby there is a school and a small mini-park with a little stream. Ideal for small children.
Spent two quiet nights at this free parking area. No services. Close to the town center, with a lovely walk through the marshes; there is also a photography festival at the moment. Very interesting.
Nice, stable, flat and very quiet place. No services, but excellent for complete self-sufficiency. The night was very peaceful and the spaces are more than adequate. Close to the village center and walks in the marshes.
Arrived on September 18 and left on September 19 in the afternoon. It is quiet and well shaded. The village of Île d’Olonne is charming and very close to the marshes, which are worth exploring. There is a bakery, a small supermarket and an excellent restaurant, L'Ételle, where we had lunch. Thank you to the municipality for allowing us to stay one or two nights in this little park.
I confirm all the positive comments. Perfect parking for a few days.
Very good parking area. I am taking off one star because I had no blackout curtains and the parking lights stayed on all night.
Interesting parking possibility, with the town center just a stone's throw away and the marshes very easily accessible.
Thank you for allowing motorhomes and vans to park in this very large, well-located parking area for visiting the salt marshes and the town. Be aware that we observed some behavior that could upset local residents and the municipality. A parking area is not a campsite! Frankly, I would be shocked if a traveler at the parking area below my home brought out tables, chairs and an awning.
