This is the Elliniko tavern’s large parking area at Omalos, where overnight stays are possible if you ask the friendly staff. Park on the right under the trees before the WC, away from the buses, and consider having a meal there. Toilets are open and clean, and buses for Xyloskalos leave before 7am and at 7:30; the return bus from Sougia arrives at 20h.

Friendly tavern staff, toilets were open and clean. Large parking area.
Nice tavern with very friendly owners. After asking, we were allowed to spend the night on their property, even with the outdoor toilet at our disposal. After the hike in Samaria Gorge, it was a wonderful place to relax.
