25 Avenue de Limoges, 24450, La Coquille
Been here?
A grassy motorhome area with mostly flat or slightly sloping pitches, electricity, picnic tables, toilets and other services. The road can be busy, especially around 17h, while the nearby train is generally quiet after 20 hours. The tourist tax is 1 euros 10 per day, and the area is closed in winter. Recent reports mention access problems and a non-operational payment terminal, although later access was reported without difficulty.

I am here alone. No access problems. However, it is 5 p.m. and there is a lot of traffic. I hope it will calm down with the trucks. Apart from that, the area is excellent and spotless.
Access problem; the payment terminal was not working, and it was impossible to reach anyone despite several attempts on all the displayed numbers.
Very nice aire, slightly sloping, with electricity. However, the tourist tax is €1.10 per day, which is a little expensive. If there is a problem, it is impossible to reach the numbers displayed on the service terminal.
Very quiet. Near the train, but after 8 p.m. we heard nothing until 6 a.m.
Attention: the motorhome aire is closed in winter.
We spent the night at the bottom, alone, and it was genuinely very quiet. The train is less noisy than the road. Minor drawback: the cassette-rinsing tap is a little low, with only a small stream of water, causing the hatch to close during awkward handling. Thanks to the municipality for this aire.
As already mentioned, the train passes, but it is genuinely not bothersome. The lower pitches are more level. There was a problem with the entrance terminal; five minutes after the phone call, someone arrived and solved the problem. Excellent responsiveness, which deserves to be highlighted. Thanks for this aire; we will return.
I find the reviews rather harsh; we found nothing dramatic. Even the train passes at 50 km/h. The skate park is excellent! The children's playground is excellent too. Trees, grass, and toilets. It is more than enough for us!
Nice aire and easy to find. There are even picnic tables. You can take water without parking, but there is no tap at the service terminal. We came only for that and paid for nothing, so we were understandably very disappointed.
Attention: the school cross-country race will take place on site Friday, 18 April 2025, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Does not even deserve one star (except to be allowed to write our dissatisfaction): no road signs; coming from the south, turning left is prohibited, indicated by signs and a solid line; you have to turn around; once inside, a barrier prevents access to the motorhome area. Better go elsewhere; it is an empty shell!
Pleasant motorhome aire with all services; pitches are slightly sloping. Thanks, Coquille, for your welcome. Children's playground and small snack bar.
€9.60 for a sloping pitch squeezed between the national road and a railway line. Currently there is neither electricity nor fresh water. My recommendation: drive on!
€9.60 for one person, including 10 minutes of water but no electricity, as it was not working. To be a little more level, I settled at the back. I hope there will be only one train.
Unfortunately, the slope is too steep; even the highest leveling ramps are insufficient to get level, except at the very bottom near the exit, where there are one or two spaces. Fortunately, we were the only ones there that night. A small surprise: a train passes behind, but it seems to sleep at night too. The prices remain reasonable, except for those who want everything for free.
