9 Largo 1º de Maio, 6060-388, Penha Garcia
Been here?
This large parking area below the village is suitable for visiting Penha Garcia and has a level surface with good mobile coverage. There are no confirmed services, and the water at the communal washing facility should not be considered drinking water. Nights can be quiet, although church bells, dogs and a rooster may be heard.

No services, but a nice parking spot for visiting the town. We did not spend the night there, however.
I would not say it is drinking water.
Thankfully, the loud church bells fall silent at night. Barking dogs and the rooster early in the morning are farther away; earplugs are available for that. The site is level, and mobile reception is good. The village and its location are worth seeing.
Quiet night. Beautiful view of the village and its castle. Welcoming villagers. No services, but there is a fountain with potable spring water.
Quiet place next to the sports center, including a climbing wall. The children are delighted. It has public toilets and showers, open but with cold water—haha—not very modern, but they served us well. We will spend tonight here and continue our journey.
Too exposed and too close to the road. The locals are obviously around until late. No shade.
Very quiet and pleasant place. However, from 8 o'clock (7 Spanish time), loud and annoying music plays from the church every half hour. The fossil route is incredible.
Excellent place to spend not only the night but also several days exploring the area. There is very good-quality water at the washhouses, and the changing rooms with showers and toilets remain open to the public. There is also an open climbing wall with mats next to the sports fields.
Large parking area, but on August 15 the village meal takes place in this spot, so it is impossible to access. There was nothing well-rated and secure nearby either...
This site has everything going for it: toilets and showers with hot water, large level pitches, and a good location for visiting the village. However, I am taking off two stars because it is next to the municipal football stadium, which is lit all night. As a result, it becomes a nighttime gathering place for young people. We needed sleep, so we left around midnight. Such a shame.
