Been here?
A beautiful beachside overnight stop with stunning views, a peaceful atmosphere and excellent ferry access, approximately 7 minutes from the terminal. The honesty box is no longer present, and the water supply may not work, while showers and toilets are a few km away at the harbour. Park at least 10 metres from the grass edge and dunes to prevent erosion.

Great place to stop before ferry, no honesty box there now, locals were friendly but stated people were still parking too close to the edge of the dunes . Miserable weather otherwise great stop over
Superb location. Had one night here due to ferry being cancelled, ideal for the terminal, approx 7 mins away. Stunning views and a great beach walk for our dog. Had a fire on the beach at dusk. Please park away from the edge due to erosion. Highly recommended.
Top overnight spot. Beautiful views. Stunning beach. We enjoyed a night here. Parked well away from the edge and left no trace. We did spot a tap on the way out but didn’t use it so unsure if it still works.
Beautiful spot and an incredibly quiet night. Also had great Vodafone signal. Unfortunately there are currently no signs or parking instructions anymore. Please continue to keep at least 10 metres distance from the grass edge and dunes to protect the area. I left a £10 donation at the small harbour nearby.
Amazing beach spot, brilliant for nearby ferry. We stayed in April and there was only one other motorhome.
Stunning place, the best spot I’ve found. No honesty box ! So I left money in the toilets by the harbour. So tranquil .
great spot ,no longer an honesty box or water, council have now got involved, made farmer take honesty box down and turn the water off, they are complaining that he is attracting too many campervans to the beach area , the are looking to reduce the numbers, the farmer is trying to sort something out hopefully he is successfull, it would be a shame if this was added to the growing list of no camping
The layout has changed since I visited last. Areas where heavy vehicles are causing dune subsidence are roped off. The tap is there but the nearest bin is at the bus stop. I could not find the honesty box. I went to the caravan at the Croft house but the farmer was not there. I left the £10 in the honesty box at the showers at the harbor. I wonder if sites on machair are now restricted
Beautiful place, right on the beach, super peaceful and plenty of space. Can’t wait to come back
Beautiful place. Unfortunately, there is no longer any way to pay. The rubbish bin has also been removed. I hope this place remains available.
One of the prettiest parking areas in the Hebrides—the views across the water to Harris are absolutely stunning! A great white-sand beach that becomes huge at low tide. Water and rubbish bin available. Please park at least 10 m from the grass edge; there are lots of signs asking you to do so, yet people still pull right up to the end.
beautiful wee part of Scotland, stayed an extra night, didn't want to leave, well worth 20 quid, big huge thank you to the owner for letting us stay. great wee village shop/ restaurant seven minutes doon the road, lovely friendly locals.
park up on the grass above the beach. £10 honesty box with water and bin provided. excellent views across to Harris and a lovely sandy beach. easy to find a flat area and plenty of space.
Stunning location with a bin and water facility, £10 honesty box so please make sure you contribute. Lovely walk up past the cemetery to the west beach.
Beautiful view and absolutely peaceful location! Beautiful.
One of the best places we have stayed. Please do not forget to pay £10 and keep the place clean! CK.
Great view and very well organised. Thanks a lot for the possibility to stay here. Worth more than 10 pounds ..
Absolutely amazing stop over. Stunning views. So quiet. Please observe the £10 a night donation because water and rubbish collection is provided by the owner of the Croft but unfortunately people are not paying.
Beautiful sport with honesty box £10 a night. Water tap and bins available. Signs advise to insure that you park up 10metres from the edge to help preserve the banking for the beach. Views are worth the £10
