Unnamed Road, 98033, Cesarò
Been here?
A quiet wild spot near a small oratory, on the Dorsal of Nebrodi walking route and close to Portella Femmina Morta. It offers access to walks and cycling, with the lake below and Monte Soro nearby. The ground is now mostly dry dirt, and the access road has many large, deep potholes, requiring very slow driving. The area is peaceful at night but can be busy around the lake during the day.

We liked this place near a small wayside shrine. The grass has not had time to grow back yet, but in dry weather that is not a problem. It is true that many local cars drive down to the lake, but we did not want to risk it, and our hike to Lake Bivière started here. Fog passed through in the morning.Translating
The place is very quiet, with no traffic at night, but during the day the lake below is very popular with Italians. We stopped at the car park, but it is possible to drive down to the lake; the stony path is easily manageable in a van. The area is no longer grassy, just bare earth.Translating
I drove here in a Peugeot Expert without four-wheel drive and had no problems. You just have to drive at walking speed because, as mentioned, there are many large holes. The ground is no longer covered with grass; at the moment it is dirty, dry sandstone. But it is also manageable with a motorhome. Please take your rubbish with you. Thank you.Translating
Do NOT come here in a camper: there are many wide and deep potholes in the asphalt.Translating
Nice spot so I give a good rating but I’m also confirming that it’s still closed with construction material in the way. Seems easy to drive down here and turn around of you need to. Don’t go beyond this spot without 4x4 - turning around will be difficult.
The road there is quite bad due to construction work. They are building at the exact location shown on Park4Night, and it is full of piles of sand and stones. It is impossible to park there. A little farther on there is a lay-by in the road where you can park, but there is no nice view and we had no internet. We drove on.Translating
Excellent as a starting point for simple hikes. Acerone is worth a visit and the lakes are enchanting. Be careful if you want to go to the lake by vehicle, because there is a descent just before reaching it and it could be a problem on the way back. Without Traction Plus, I wouldn't have made it... There is no 4G signal at the lake, while there is here.Translating
Very windy and cold, but wonderfully peaceful. You could move 50 m farther on to shelter from the wind. A very peaceful night; we were alone!Translating
Very beautiful place, although completely isolated. Avoid it in strong winds.Translating
Open view. A very quiet night, disturbed only early in the morning by the many mushroom pickers and hikers. A lot of traffic during the day. Note that we were there on a Sunday.Translating
We had a good night and barbecued. There is enough space and you are alone with nature. The walk to the lake is 5 km.Translating
