A campsite just as we like them: a welcoming owner, immaculate sanitary facilities, and unmarked pitches allowing you to set up wherever you like. We came for one night but stayed for two days for €42. Excellent!
Open from June 15, near the road.
Exceptional campsite. I happened to stop for one night and stayed for 15 days. It is a huge open area without marked pitches. There is not much shade, but the tranquility is incredible. I will definitely return.
Perfect campsite! Very friendly welcome and immaculate sanitary facilities. €20 per night for a van and four people without electricity! unbeatable value for money. A wonderful discovery—we will definitely return!
Good campsite. It may seem disorganized, but the owner tells you where to go. All the surrounding campsites were full, and this one does not take reservations, yet we found a place. Excellent, 15 km away.
In my life I have never seen anything like it. In the middle of peak season, the people managing the place disappear for a couple of hours, leaving eight vehicles waiting to register. Then they get annoyed if you entered without asking and took a space, which is normal at any unmarked campsite like this in Europe. There is a barrier at the entrance, but registration is 200 meters downhill on a very steep slope. Neither good nor bad.
Quiet campsite with beautiful views. It is directly below the road, on a lovely open area with unmarked pitches. The river is right beside it. Clean facilities. You can order bread and pastries the afternoon before for the next day. Twenty minutes from Néouvielle National Park and 25 minutes from the Rioumajou Valley, which is recommended. Two adults and two children: €20.50.
Very pretty campsite. Relatively flat ground, large pitch, beautiful views, close to Spain. Reserve for a good pitch.
A wonderful campsite. In the middle of nature in an idyllic valley, with open camping and a peaceful atmosphere. The bathroom and shower facilities are well maintained. Fresh bread and pastries can be ordered every morning. Fifteen minutes from Saint-Lary, with all services. Good price, but check the bill carefully because they sometimes get the numbers mixed up. We highly recommend it!
A campsite exactly as we like them. Quiet, clean and functional sanitary facilities. Quite large pitches. Shade if you want it. The river is right nearby. Bread and pastries can be ordered. Very friendly managers. Pleasant clientele.
Very basic but very peaceful campsite, with open camping and a feeling of freedom. Great.
Very quiet and extremely well-maintained campsite. The sanitary facilities are spotlessly clean and the spaces are very large. No bungalows or other buildings spoil the site. This is a real campsite. The river below gently lulls you to sleep at night. The views are magnificent.
Very natural campsite. The pitches are large, everything is quiet and the site is perfectly maintained. You see tents, caravans and vans—a real campsite without frills. Everything we look for. The river is nearby for walking your dog. A pleasant 4 km loop starts at the campsite along the boxwood trail. Very good restaurant 1 km uphill, easily walkable. Thank you for your welcome and kindness. See you soon.
Very well maintained, very quiet and extremely idyllic.
This is now a brilliant campsite, the facilities are clean and well maintained. Forget the older comments. The site is open and not full of static sheds. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. It's in a beautiful and quiet location.
Very beautiful and peaceful. A mountain stream in the forest, and goats herded together in the morning by a hardworking dog. Idyllic and rural. The owners are very relaxed and cultured. Spacious, well-kept grass-and-gravel site. Freshly mowed. Impressive mountain panorama.
The managers changed this year—the son and daughter-in-law—and the sanitary facilities are now immaculate. The campsite is laid out in the traditional way, without marked pitches or mobile homes. You feel immersed in nature. We had a very pleasant, peaceful night and morning, with the stream accessible on foot.
Clean and quiet campsite. I had to fill in a very detailed registration form myself, and the reception felt more like a police station, which made me want to continue on my way. No network coverage.
Stunning views! Amazing nature! View of the peaks and also on the river. Lots of space to pitch and lots of shade. The only let down are the facilities that are mixed and that need a bit more cleaning. 26€ 2ppl & electric per night. Would recommend.
Small family-run business. We spent one night on the meadow. Everything was fine for €20.
Peace, plenty of greenery and only the gentle sound of the stream, which is directly accessible from the campsite. The unmarked pitches create a sense of freedom. The toilets and showers are not separated by gender, but are always clean. Hot water is also available for washing dishes. Our motorhome is 7 m long and 3 m high. Larger vehicles might have some difficulty.
