18 Rue du Stade, 40210, Escource
Been here?
A large parking area belonging to a sports facility, with a small pine forest and picnic tables about 200 m away. There are clean public toilets, sports facilities and numerous waste-sorting bins, but no motorhome services. Recent reports describe continuous night-time noise from the industrial operation opposite, followed by lorries in the morning. The area is quickly accessible from the motorway.

Large parking area, quickly accessible from the motorway. A large pine forest begins 200 metres away, ideal for dog owners. But the business opposite makes noise all night, and the trucks join in during the morning.
Very quiet and shady place to spend the night. Woken by the rooster crowing, but it wasn’t unpleasant. Nearby are very clean toilets, picnic tables, and sports facilities. Plenty of bins for sorting waste. On the advice of local residents, we settled at the back of the area on an old tennis court. Highly recommended!
We spent a very quiet night. There are clean public toilets with toilet paper. However, the rooster does indeed wake up around 5 a.m. and cheerfully shares its song! lol
Slept very well; there were few people at this time of year, but we parked in the parking area. Thanks to the municipality of Escource.
We arrived late in the evening and had no problem staying here overnight. Plenty of space; we were also the only vehicle in the car park. Quiet night, with some noise from a wood factory opposite in the morning, but it was perfectly fine.
arrived here late after a long drive from noyant good for a stop over
A quiet place for the night in winter. Near the edge of the village, but with a few houses nearby to make it feel safe for a sole female traveller.
quiet perfect place. check and forest nearby. perfect for walking the dog.
We’ve just spent a lovely quiet night here. The basketball and tennis courts are open to walk right into and even the gates to the football pitch were open. There’s a tap behind the tennis court if you need water. There’s a little traffic but I’m an early riser so I hear it because I’m awake, it didn’t wake me! The locals seem friendly enough. Thank you to the town for this lovely spot.
Had a quiet night and a quiet morning too.
We were able to spend a quiet night here on a Wednesday evening at the beginning of September. There are no services, but it is perfectly fine for an overnight stay and easy to find! When it’s not busy, the site is also suitable for larger motorhomes. :)
This could be a good place for one night if you ignore the four hunting dogs that never stop barking, the young people partying in the football changing rooms, the football pitch sprinklers banging against the fences in the middle of the night, and finally the city workers waking everyone at 9 a.m. with their leaf blowers clearing the tennis courts. If you like peace and quiet, avoid this place urgently.
Excellent pitch; we spent one night here in a van with no problems.
The site is perfectly fine for one night :) We were unlucky on Friday evening, as some young people played football at the sports ground until 5 a.m., with music and shouting.
Very quiet place to sleep. There were two campers. Plenty of space. Highly recommended for a stopover on the way or for spending the night if you want to go to the beach the next day.
