1 Cité Bauret, 45120, Cepoy
Been here?
A narrow parking area beside the Cepoy lock, near a restaurant and small shop, suitable for vans and small motorhomes during the day. A 5.50 m campervan with a bicycle carrier can fit, but low branches, restricted turning space and difficult access make larger vehicles unsuitable. There are sunny and shaded spaces. Night-time security concerns and warnings about bicycle theft have been reported, while the surveillance cameras are reportedly out of service.

I live in the area and have a motorhome. This place is perfectly suitable for vans and small motorhomes during the day. Warning at night: Montargis, Châlette, Vésines, Cepoy—the isolated car parks serve as meeting places for local drug dealers. There are also Travellers and a migrant reception facility in the area.
Beautiful, very quiet place. However, local residents warned us twice about a bicycle theft with the bike rack, which had occurred 15 days earlier in the late afternoon. The surveillance cameras above the car park are actually out of order. We stayed because we were tired, but slept rather badly, awakened at 1:30 a.m. by a car with tinted windows that parked right beside us, moving forward and backward repeatedly before leaving with the radio at full volume. A shame, because the place is really lovely.
Nice for a short break. A 5.50 m campervan fits easily, but there are low-hanging branches. Larger motorhomes will have difficulty. A previous poster mentioned dog poo. When we arrived, we saw an old lady walking away with the local dog and its droppings. There is a choice between sunny and shaded spots.
Great spot for one night. Shady and quiet. Tight, but we were able to park here with our 5.50 m vehicle and bike rack.
Beautiful, quiet spot with plenty of shade. Directly by the water. Access is very narrow and turning space is limited. Lots of dog mess in the grass.
