The previous entry is incorrect: the parking costs €1 per hour. The meter worked; €12 covered only 12 hours until early morning, even now in November. For that price, the sloping site does not even offer a rubbish bin. We ate affordably and well at the pizzeria in town and then drove on to the mountain village of Volpaia. Beware of mirror-scam fraudsters by the roadside. They lie in wait for motorhomes and shoot the car with rubber bullets. A loud bang is heard. They then follow you and demand money for the alleged damage. Do not pay anything and call the police. They are after quick money. Radda is lovely. But this “sosta” is odd. Marked out for motor homes it costs 12 euros A DAY so overnight could cost you a lot more (and you’d have to get another ticket at midnight). As we have a tiny campervan we moved our van to the free car park next door at 8 am. But we had a reasonable nights sleep despite some cars being in the van car park). Clean public toilets nearby.
