Quiet lakeside site, paid showers

Very good place, everything you need! We will be back.

According to another camper, no tokens have been needed for filling water for the past 2–3 years. However, the area is monitored by video. Arriving early is advisable; from 1 p.m. onward, the place was full.

Absolutely quiet, €16/24 hours. Includes electricity, toilet, and waste disposal. Shower €0.50 / 3 minutes. Perfect for 1–2 days.

When the site was completely full, we wanted to at least fill and empty our tanks. However, this is only possible if you pay the €16 parking fee, because the service column can only be operated with a token. That's a shame. It is unlikely there will be a next visit to this quite charming little town.

Quiet, paved site with a view of the lake. Freshwater and waste disposal, electricity, and rubbish disposal are available. Short walk to the old town. We did not use the sanitary facilities.

Everything provided, including food, with a wonderful view of the large pond. The island zoo is right on the doorstep, and the town with its many attractions is just a few steps away. Excellent!

A wonderful, peaceful site with a view of the lake. I was happy to pay the €16, even though I don't understand why cars park for free next door while motorhomes have to pay. But that's often how it is. I leave here smiling and freshly showered (€0.50), and look forward to coming back someday.

Quiet place (off-season and during the week), beautiful surroundings, the town center is easily reachable on foot, and there are good walks with a dog. We did not try the toilets or showers.

Good value for money, beautiful location, everything clean. We felt comfortable. No cars in the motorhome area, although many use the area as a passage to the adjacent car park, which was disturbing in the evening.

The site is certainly beautiful. Unfortunately, you can't find a space because, apart from three motorhomes, everything was occupied by cars. A better solution is urgently needed here. As it is, it is a real shame.

I can only agree with the praise for this motorhome site. We stayed for three nights because the town also has a lot to offer. The museum and the guided tour of the castle are really worth seeing. The town has beautiful architecture and shopping opportunities. A walk around the lake is good for the soul.

What can I say? Simply top. Freshwater and waste disposal, electricity, and even showers are available here. Beautiful lakeside footpath, center reachable in 10 minutes. The Skat Museum in the castle museum is worth seeing. Thank you, city of Altenburg, for this beautiful site.

Very nice site; walk along the pond to the old town. Toilet and showers at one site, with the motorhomes lined up one behind another, no crowding—someone really thought this through. In winter, there is water in the toilet; bring a washing-machine connection. Thanks to the city.

Very nice motorhome site. Quiet at night. €16 is perfectly fine. The Fortuna restaurant is highly recommended. The small zoo on the island is worth a visit. We’ll stop by again.

The site is excellently located for exploring the old town, which is well worth seeing. Quiet at night, various restaurants nearby. Sanitary facilities clean and even heated at this time of year. Great value for money. Thanks to the city of Altenburg.

8.5 m. In 4/11/2025, out 5/11/2025. €16 per 24 hours, electricity included. Excellent parking area. Parking is along both sides of the internal road. The motorhomes are not side by side, but lined up one behind another, providing more privacy. There are four electricity posts with CE sockets. Very quiet night. Close to the historic center. Illuminated, with a draining surface, but quite sloped. Recommended.

We were very satisfied. Good location for visiting the city. Fresh- and waste-water service was easy to use. We did not use the toilet or shower.

The site was still well occupied in mid-September. Fresh- and waste-water service easily accessible; fresh water runs a little slowly but is included in the price. Quiet location in the countryside. Overall, a great offering from the city—many thanks!

Beautiful idyllic site by the lake. €16/24 hours is perfectly reasonable. Toilet and shower are available but not always completely hygienic, hence “only” 4 stars. Shops, bakery, restaurant, and zoo are within walking distance. The bakery is also open on Sundays. On the other side of the pond are excellent playgrounds for young and old, including a skateboard track, table tennis, and exercise equipment. We’ll be back.

We arrived at the site today. Everything is perfect! Site fee €16/24 hours (card payment), including fresh- and waste-water service and electricity—totally fine! Toilet €0.50 and shower €1. Thanks to the municipality!
