A free car park beside the Elblag Canal, only 300m from the overground boat lift and suitable for stopping to watch the boats. Toilet facilities and picnic tables are available. Traffic on the nearby road is very loud, with trucks passing throughout the night, and cars sometimes arrive with loud music. Coaches use the wider section to turn around.

Very loud. Trucks drove past all night, and cars with loud music also pulled into the parking area. Early in the morning, loggers were cutting down trees. You certainly will not get any sleep here, as it is louder than a motorway rest area.
Great parking place to stop and explore the boat lifts today (Sunday). Only 300m away. Didn’t have to wait long. Three boats in less than an hour. Coaches use the wider end section to turn around so best park along the straight section. Picnic area opposite with CCTV. Wouldn’t park here overnight as busy road with noisy bridge plates right next to you.
A good place to see the Elbląg Canal. We arrived in the evening and stayed for one night. The traffic was clearly audible and loud, but it was fine for one night. In return, we could watch the first ships early in the morning. One of the boat lifts is a few metres farther along the canal. The friendly lock keeper let us view the facility from inside.
Visited in May with a large 12 m motorhome. Very good for a stop to observe the boat lift. We parked on the grass beside the road without any problems. Indeed, it is close to the road; we did not stay overnight.
The road starts getting busy around 4:30 a.m. Not a great place to sleep.
