Station parking, rubbish and mosquitoes

There are many paid spaces on asphalt in front of the train station, plus an adjacent unpaved area. The unpaved area has enough flat space for campers larger than cars, but it is unclear whether fees apply or parking is officially allowed. The area is calm but has much rubbish, flies, and biting mosquitoes. A nearby island is described as fabulous.

Large, quiet parking area, but lots of rubbish and many flies and mosquitoes that bite badly! Every minute outside the van counts! On the other hand, it is close to the adjoining island, which is fabulous!
