This picnic area overlooks Scapa Flow and surrounding islands, with stunning views and picnic tables. Space is listed for two vans, although three vans stayed together with room for one more. The approach road is poor for low vehicles, and the site is exposed in windy weather. There are no services, and a site office portakabin and equipment now occupy part of the area.

A lovely view across the bay. The road up wasnt brilliant, particularly for a low slung vehicle but well worth the drive. Would be exposed in windy weather.

It wasn’t windy, so we had to put up with a few flies. Good 4G reception on Three mobile. We were totally alone.
Amazing views across Scapa Flow and various Orkney Islands. Three Van's together and room for one more. No services but what an excellent night stop!
